So within the past 12 months, this hotel has been renovated. The rooms are well furnished, spacious, and are very well kept. But there are some peculiarities. In the bathroom, there are no towel bars and there is no toilet paper roll holder. They literally put the toilet paper on a shelf next to the commode. There are plenty of towels, but you can't hang them up after you use them because there are no towel bars available.
Another oddity is it they have space for your clothes on hangers and some shelf space next to that. But it is totally out in the open next to the entry door. It is not like a closet as it is out in the open. To be able to see your clothes hanging up reminds me of Motel 6 for some reason. It is not a typical set up to hang clothes and use dresser drawers.
The bed is excellent, the television also is pretty good with a variety of channels, and the air conditioning is fabulous! The air conditioner fan will run all night if you like that white noise to help you sleep.
They do have an exercise room, but when you go in the temperature is about 80 degrees. The air conditioner will turn on once it senses that people are inside, but it is still pretty warm in there. The thermostat is covered, so you could not turn it up or down.
No housekeeping. They say because of covid they do not clean the rooms on a daily basis. So you will have to straighten up your own room and ask for new towels on a daily basis.
In speaking with some people, it is actually due to lack of staffing.
And finally the breakfast. Right now if you want some hot food, you have to ask the attendant and she will bring you a plate of sausage and eggs. Everything else is pretty much Grab & Go except for the waffles. And the coffee sometimes is lukewarm at best depending on how long it's been sitting in the carafe. Overall, the room is very nice and well equipped. But some of the idiosyncrasies here might make you want to look for other accommodations. If you're staying in the Las Colinas area of Irving, for the price of this hotel, you might be in pretty good shape overall. This is great for families on a budget.

My daughters and I are not seasoned travelers. We booked our flight to Dallas for a concert and the schedule is super tight. We opted to stay at the La Quinta. I called to see if I could do a pre-check-in to expedite things. Cash (the super nice reception person) not only told me that they had a shuttle to pick us up at the airport, but could also take us directly to the music venue and hold our bags until we got there after the concert. WOW! If that isn't great customer service, I don't know what is! Thank you La Quinta for relieving so much stress! You're the BEST!

Invoice 974-808249 . Stayed July 26-29. Credit card was swiped for a $50 incidental hold (room was direct bill through Hotel Engine) and after the stay , the $50 charge was posted to my personal credit card. Two ignored emails and two phone calls (last spoke to Lisa) and I was assured my CC would be refunded. (The $50 incidental hold was actually refunded to Hotel Engine, I'm sure they are happy saving $50) . One week later, and no movement. Dispute filed with my CC issuing bank, but this is ridiculous.

staff was friendly, room was clean. the only thing is more breakfast options. other than that great hotel. the check-in and check-out was fast and staff were respectful and friendly. the cleaning procedures were followed and staff took appropriate measurements to make sure the place was safe for guests.

We have been living here for months due to an apartment fire and winter weather nonsense. Weve come to know staff by name. I work mornings till mid after noon but being a mom I run around crazy till about 10 at night, so naturally I need guess services a lil later than most. Denton always greets me with a smile and asks how my day was before already knowing my towel count lol Even tho he maybe off the clock or out with his family he always stops to chat a minute or plays with the puppy. His customer service is well appreciated.

First There We're Stains On My Both Sheets. I Called Office & Was Told By Manager I Would Have To Come Get New Sheets & Change Them Myself. Wow Stained Sheets Were Placed On The Bed & I Have To Change Them I Took Pics Of Them Also. Second Door Would NOT Open On First Pull. I Had To Aggressively Pull About 3-4 Times Each Time I Wanted To Leave Room & Entering Was The Same. I Actually Video Recorded That Issue. Third The Sell Had A Annoying Stench & Each Towel Had Multiple Strings Of Hair In Them. 🤢 I Noticed That Foreigner's Have Taken Over This Location & Are Living There Running Into The Ground Like Other Motels They Take Over. Just A Matter Of Time Until Someone Really Does A More Intense Complaint

It appeared that the hotel had an airport shuttle, but upon calling we learned that it only runs limited hours and only on weekdays, so we were out of luck. We reserved a room with a king bed, but on arriving, only got a room with two double beds for the same price. They were out of king beds, it seems. The room is clean, but the nearest dining is several blocks away. Being in an unfamiliar neighborhood late, we summoned a ride share rather than walk to dinner, though the area seems quiet and safe. The bathroom was reasonably stocked, but there was no toilet paper dispenser. Just rolls of TP sitting on a shelf. So overall, not terrible by any means, but not great.

At check-in, we requested a room away from the pool and close to the lobby due to my husband's mobility. Instead, we were given a room all the way down a long hall and adjacent to the pool. When we asked for a different room, the manager replied that there were no other rooms available. (We had made our hotel reservation in advance and had arrived close to the beginning of the check-in time.)
In addition, we had a problem with the coffee pot at about 7p.m. and were told that both maintenance and the manager had left. Consequently, we would need to wait until morning for help. We know that problems can arise anywhere, but the staff and management at this hotel demonstrated a lack of knowledge of the hospitality industry as it pertains to customer service and satisfaction.

I am a repeat customer at the Las Colinas location and booked directly through the site. Upon check in I discover that there will be no housekeeping service during my stay. No notice was given to me during my DIRECT booking with this location and this lack of service created health concerns during my stay. I tried to address with the management team and they were completely disinterested and unwilling to provide me with their names (not wearing name tags). Totally unprofessional and do not represent La Quinta brand well at all.

their transportation to the airport doesn't start until 6am so if you have an early flight you would need to find other transportation. The pool is an outdoor pool and I didn't see a hot tub.
It’s from 6 to 10 weekdays and 6 to 10:30 weekends, I believe. Hot coffee and tee are served daily sometimes with some cookies and bagels.
