We enjoyed our stay at the Whitehall. We love historic hotels. The staff was great , handy shuttle to the Convention Center. Room was nice and clean and quite. Got some good sleep. Price was right , location was great. Overall a great stay in downtown Houston.
I came to Houston to celebrate my one year anniversary with my girlfriend and booked the romance package with the presidential suite. When I checked in I was greeted by Ana. She was kind and helpful and even gave us drink coupons the first night to celebrate. When I went upstairs I was very disappointed in the condition of the room. The walls were dirty and dingy there was rust on the bathroom fixtures and the vents were dusty and coming off the wall. When I tried to call downstairs to the front desk I realized both phones in the room did not work. 😩 I spoke with the front office manager the next day before I headed out (i was going to propose and she said yes Btw 💜) and she made sure the issues were fixed before I came back and comp’d my first night. Even though seeing the room that way the first night was so upsetting they did their best to fix my issues right away. The walls were still dirty but I think cleaning them would take more time so maybe that’s why it wasn’t done. I hope the engineering department shows the presidential suite some love and fixes it up. It really is a beautiful room just needs some upkeep. The restaurant and bar were both enjoyable and they even had live entertainment one night. I also enjoyed the pool. The one thing that still bothers me is that there was no microwave in the room or anywhere in the hotel. Houston has some great restaurants and I couldn’t eat my delicious leftovers. All in all the stay wasn’t bad. The staff at Whitehall are friendly and helpful and I appreciated them during my stay. So I’m still giving them a 4 out of 5. If they put microwaves in the room I wouldn’t mind coming back. And if a microwave isn’t that big of a deal to you then the Whitehall is a good choice.…
Customer Service at this hotel was the best. I and my family was there for my son's wedding. From the time we got there till we left we didn't have to want for anything. Everyone was nice and attentive to our needs. The rooms was clean, the lobby area was good hangout for my family, the outside bar was great. The most wonderful highlight of my stay was with John at the front desk. He was well and beyond to take care of me(mother of the groom) his personality is unbelievable!!!
Would stay again and highly recommend! Attended the 2022 Rotary Conference and stayed at the Whitehall the rooms are very clean, modern and large, the staff are beyond friendly (as were all the Houstonians). Check in was simple and the Hotel Is within walking distance of everything. The pool was on the smaller side but very well maintained and there was lots of shaded areas to escape the sun if you wanted to.
We had a wonderful staycation! Clean and spacious rooms, delicious breakfast and Edgars Hermano, and refreshing drinks on a beautiful patio in the summer evening! The cabanas at the pool were a nice added touch for relaxation. Thank you John for your impeccable hospitality! We cannot wait to return!
One of the most beautiful hotels I've stayed in. Wonderful customer service and delicious food! Part & Parcel has such a warm and inviting atmosphere to enjoy a cocktail with a beautiful scenery. Edgar's breakfast is delightful, definitely a must when staying here!
Wow great hotel . Staff excellent . Perfect location for passport office and close to many other places in downtown Houston. Highly recommend !!! Excellent breakfast and coffee.Big rooms and very quiet
I stumbled upon The Whitehall about a year ago while looking for a hotel during a visit to Houston. Since then, I've been back 3 times! The staff is absolutely phenomenal, and customer service cannot be beat. From the time they greet me at the front desk, I feel like a VIP. The property is nice and quiet and boasts beautiful rooms and an amazing fitness center. There is also an on-site restaurant with delicious food and an outdoor bar/wine garden situation that always has fun live music and delicious drinks and bites. I will 100% continue to frequent this property when I'm in the area and would recommend it to anyone!
The Whitehall is a lovely property in Downtown Houston, and my room was well-appointed and comfortable. The hotel is not particularly close to anything other than Downtown offices, but for business travel, it is well situated. The staff was not particularly helpful when it comes to identifying local attractions to visit (I learned that there were a couple of museums that I was interested in seeing only from an internet search.). I'm guessing that Downtown feels pretty deserted right now because folks are still working remotely due to COVID - but the area seemed really empty and isolated as I walked to my business location. The two restaurants in the hotel have the same menu (One is open for breakfast/lunch, the other for dinner.). With no fridge or microwave in the room - and still, quite a few nearby restaurants closed - that meant not a lot of nearby food options. Having a different dinner menu would be helpful. And, yes, Houston is hot and humid - and I did see a couple of bugs in my room. Fortunately, they were small (Dare I actually say it - roaches?!) and not giant waterbugs.…
I truly enjoyed my stay . I was their for a swimming competition and was joining my son. The service here is amazing and the staff is super friendly. It is nice to come in and see people smiling and laughing. We rarely find that anymore. John was very nice and helpful. Everyone at the desk was very accommodating. The rooms were clean and smelled nice. The bathrooms are a bit small but very well kept. The food was great and the patio bar was a delight. Adam made our drinks really good.
