The hotel is absolutely gorgeous, the location is easy to navigate and reach local transit. However, a bit unsettling at night with streets adjacent sprawling with homeless folks. We found all the staff to be very kind with exception of the bartender. The bar closes at 11:00pm ?? But bars down the street close later and they are very friendly,...

We went for a quick weekend getaway and were very happy. The valet was really quick to get to the car, although someone else did jump in front of the valet that came first, which bothered me, it wasn't really a problem. We came really early but were given a room 2 hours early. We changed rooms as I had...

We stayed two nights at this hotel. The hotel looks nice but staffs are the rudest I have ever seen in my life. The beds were so soft as soon as I moved in the bed the bed was moving down.. when I complained they refused to do anything. They charged me wrongly and they were very impolite when I...

I am staying at the Magnolia tonight and would have far preferred either the JW or the Hotel Icon. I stayed here because they are a Marriott family hotel and lifetime Platinum status doesn't mean anything to them. I booked a suite and when I checked in there was no recognition of my status (not that big of a deal...

Thank you Kyle for sharing your experience and giving us an opportunity to internally address some communication issues that we need to fix. I am so sorry our staff did not recognize your SPG status, we have been part of SPG for a little more than 2 weeks now and it has been an adjustment for our staff. I do...

Stayed at the Magnolia on Super Bowl weekend 2017 and can only say good things about the staff and organization. The view from the pool is excellent, don't forget to visit it to take a look at the Houston skyline.

I stayed at the Magnolia Hotel this weekend. It's nothing fancy but it was clean, excellent location and the staff was very nice. We attended the Shriner's Classic and the location was perfect. They have a great coffee bar connected to the entrance and their room service menu was great. If you are looking for a nice hotel without a...

The good: Big room The bad: old, outdated rooms. Dark colored walls made the room look more ancient. Found bugs on the bed and I still have 2 nights in this place. We were going to stay at another SPG property but since the app was showing this was a new property, I wrongly assumed it'd be recently renovated.

Ann, Thank you for your feedback. I am so sorry about the bug in your room. We did have the room professionally inspected to ensure it was not a bed bug or something even worse. I really feel terrible for your experience.

The Magnolia hotel just joined the Starwood family a week ago and are off to a good start. The staff is extremely warm and welcoming and the hotel is clean with rooms that are well appointed. I do think the Magnolia is on its way of becoming a great SPG addition, it may take a bit more time to get...

My husband and I have stayed here many times and considered it to be our favorite downtown Houston hotel for staycations. We weren't aware that they had sold, and I was disappointed in the lost "perks" and in the way these were not clearly communicated. Part of the reason we liked staying here was the complimentary wine and beer happy...

Sherry, First, thank you for staying with us and taking the time to post your feedback. I am sad to hear you would not return to our hotel as a result of no longer getting free drinks or breakfast. I wanted to just clarify a few of your points so you have the most accurate information. We were not sold,...

Let me start by saying that all the staff in this hotel are friendly and helpful. It is a beautiful hotel and the location is great for exploring the downtown area on foot. We have stayed here before and were not aware that they had discontinued the free breakfast, which was one of the main reasons we chose this hotel...

Barbi400, Thank you for staying with us and for providing your feedback. I am sorry you were not happy with some of our changes and for the boarding passes not printing. We have fixed that issue with the 3rd party that provides that service for us. As for the breakfast, we did make that change company wide at the beginning...
