Hotel itself is very nice and comfortable right by the convention center. Rooftop heated pool is also very good with a bar looking to the city. However, when I looked at the bill after checkout I saw few valley parkings charges with the associated fees and taxes. I was in a business trip and used only Uber during the visit to Houston I also got multiple internet charges while the charges was supposed to be free to the members. There were 8 internet charges while I stayed 5 days in the hotel. 3 months passed, still couldn’t get those charges back!!! Good hotel very poor management!!

Shopping nearby. Astros right there too. Even with a convention Starbucks was never a wait. Restaurants and bars were superb - keto friendly too. The gift shop was well stocked with all ya need. Pool area - lazy river in shape of Texas. Lots of chairs. Nice bar with food. Kids pool was nice. 3 floors for convention space - banquet rooms. The banquet food - fast service, and great service. A server went well above to help - a gentleman went and btought back two bottles of vinegar and oil. Room service was outstanding. This hotel made a jam packed and stressful event pleasurable. Worth the money.

I’m shocked at how such a great hotel can have such terrible valet service. There is no urgency and they are extremely rude. I won’t be back to an otherwise great hotel because the parking situation is horrible.

The dark completed female with the beautiful long eyelashes at the rooftop left an amazing and long lasting impression and I will re-visit this hotel because of her. I walked into the rooftop with my family it was our first time and she was with a group of workers and stopped immediately what she was doing and explained in great detail how to get towels, where seating is available, and the available restaurant and how to reach my waitress for the section I sat at. She was very professional, spoke clearly with a very enthusiastic upbeat tone and body language. I hope to see her there next year when I book my next trip she is an amazing asset to the Marquis hotel. The hamburgers and fries at the rooftop were BOMB awesome. I do wish the lazy river was a little more powerful but it is a very lazy lazy river lol. I loved the different options for the pools and plenty of open seating with umbrellas The waitress we had could have been a bit more up beat and bubbly but she did her job and was professional. Valet was a breeze but very standard nothing crazy. They did explain how to reach them and provided me with my valet ticket, they were very fast and the customer service overall was great and professional, my car was returned safely. Front desk was a breeze as well, well dressed and groomed and he was friendly and fast and professional. Rooms were a nice size, zero-low noise level Hotel was clean

Our entire visit here at Marriott Marquis was excellent! The staff was kind, efficient, accommodating and friendly. We absolutely loved Biggios restaurant in the lobby. There was big crowds because of the Rotary international convention, but the staff efficiently got everyone in and served. Our meals were excellent in every way! Thanks for showing us your Houston hospitality! I especially want to thank Liz piña who was our server on the last day! You were lovely, friendly and most efficient! Oh and don’t let me forget the Texas shaped lazy river in the pool area! Everything there was clean and comfortable!

Stayed here 3 nights to attend a Rotary International convention. Hotel is just 100 meters from the convention center, separated by a sky bridge. Our room was as I specified, high floor near the elevator. I was so happy with the set up. The intenet which was free for Bonvoy member with online check in made my checking in so seamless. Room was clean daily. The swimming pool on the 6th floor was an awesome sight and my wife enjoyed it even with the summer heat. The restaurants on the groudfloor is also convenient. Definitely recommended.

The infamous bar, Biggio's, right by Minute Maid park is known for pregaming before the Astros game. I have been several times, however, my experience yesterday was great due to my bar tender, Jesse Medina. Jesse was so accommodating and attendant. I was having a rough day, and his customer service and great personality turned my day around!

This is the first Marriott hotel where I was not greeted by "Thank you for being a Marriott elite member." I reserved a suite for a stationstation with my family and arrived at 4:430pm and the room was still not ready. Ended up waiting almost until 6PM, and their sorry excuse was that it takes a longer to clean a suite and walk through. The last person I spoke said he would add 15k points to my marriott account and it is yet to show. Reserved a covered cabana for a whole day, when I went to the pool deck, a lady told me I need to get wrist bands at the hotel lobby. Went down to the hotel lobby and they told me i need to get wrist bands at the pool deck. [This really happened]. At the pool, they gave me the wrong cabana with less shade and could not move me. Returned to the room close to 3pm and the room was not made, and housekeeping never came around. Requested more toilet paper and it took 2 hours to have a few rolls delivered. Had to take my car out briefly and the valet took 40 min to bring out my car. As we were checking out, I asked to have my bags loaded the person replied, "oh.. ok." Gets 2 stars purely for the amenities and the pool, where my daughter had fun floating. But there is a reason why such a nice, new hotel with awesome pool gets an average of 4 stars vs 4point something. Do not expect Marriott hospitality. It's like they scrimmaged staff during the pandemic and never trained them.

Had an amazing time at this beautiful hotel celebrating my daughters 13th birthday. From check in to departure, the entire hotel staff was amazing and it all started with the front desk associate Kiara who assisted me with my check in all the way down to Bridget who helped me by answering some questions over the phone. The Texas shaped lazy river was even better in person than the photos. So far this is my favorite hotel in the Houston area. You won’t regret staying here.
