Visited Lodge of Granbury over Labor Day weekend 2011. Stayed 3 nights with my husband (anniversary trip). Purchased through Priceline - $257.43 for all 3 nights ($85.81/night including taxes/fees) Can’t beat that with a stick! Positives: • We had reserved thru Priceline and then cancelled as we had babysitting issues. When issues resolved and I tried to reschedule, Priceline had... More

An enormous fire burned almost 50% of the property the weekend of July 4th. The property is being remodeled as an apartment complex on the lake.

The location was great! Right on the water, next to the beach and a few blocks from downtown. Room set up was very usable with a kitchen and separate bedroom from the living room. The quality of the room I would rate as average. Although there has been some renovation, there might be some attention to detail that was missed.... More

The entrance and reception area are clean and bight, front desk staff were friendly. We had a room overlooking the beach area and hotel swimming pool. You have two choices at this hotel: Rooms facing the lake, or facing the beach. The units are very large. It feels like you're in a condo. Full-size fridge, stove & double sink! The... More

My husband and I booked this hotel mainly because it was pet friendly. I'd read mixed reviews, but we liked it. It's not anything fancy, but it was clean and we had plenty of room for us and our 2 dogs. We even had a nice lake view from our balcony. The bed wasn't very comfortable, but we only stayed... More

The suite was spacious, had a private balcony with lake view, close to historic district, and plenty of parking. There was no computer for guests to use. There was no dishwasher in my unit just the open space where one evidently had been at one time. The coffee maker had dirt in it. The gate on the balcony didn't have... More

We love Grandbury and recently lost our aunt and place to stay when visiting. Took the family on a 2 day trip to celebrate my grandson's 1st birthday. Left him to play on the floor while I cooked dinner and to my disgust he was black - like tar! from the knees down and on his hands when I picked... More

We had no reservation but they took care of us as soon as we arrived . Very friendly staff. Very nice hotel and it was perfect by the water. Felt like just home. Will stay again.

The first room we were in - apparently someone died in the bed and lost all of their bodily functions in it. There are no words to describe how bad it smelled in there. We were moved to another room. The manager is always "in a meeting", "out of the building", etc. And, the phone system was down. The computer... More

The place is older and not deluxe at all, but represents a good value due to very spacious interiors and a great view overlooking the lake. The location is perfect as it is only a block to the square and all the shops, restaurants, and shows. Also, it is right next to the beach area which is actually pretty nice.... More

“Rooms facing the lake would be quieter than beach-facing room, as it's a fairly busy road, but some may find the beach-facing side more interesting. You can see parts of the lake from there as well.”
