We got a room in the Inn, which was clean and large. We enjoyed the patio and large windows. We used the grill each evening, as well as the mini fridge and microwave. The room is very basic, do not expect any frills, such as nice linens or bedding. The view from the patio was Ok, there is a nice...

I had my reservations about the cabins after reading some of the reviews but was very much surprised by what I found. First of all the people who run them are great, friendly and accommodating. The cabin number 4, was extremely clean. Yes, some of the furnishings are old and worn but hey it's a cabin on a lake. It...

We booked a last minute trip this past weekend. We booked literally three hours before we left on Friday. The staff was very accommodating; arranged for an after-hours checkin and allowed a late checkout on Sunday (we dropped the keys off when we were done around 4:00pm). We went for cheap so we had cabin #4 (efficiency) with two couples...

We booked this cabin somewhat last minute and couldn't get many places to even call or write us back, but Hideaway was quick to respond and Lynn was very kind and accommodating every time we talked. She arranged for a late arrival for us, no issue. The cabins were clean, spacious, with incredible views (and a wonderful porch with chairs...

We had a family reunion here and although the location was ideal the cabins were not worth the price we paid. The kitchen did not have many of the items we needed (toaster, plastic drinking glasses, mixing bowl, etc) and the beds were a thin mattress on a wood box. The couches are very old and overused. The towels are...

The location and site was adequate. However, the remainder of the experience ranks somewhere between disappointing and downright bad. Here are the top 10 things from my experience that would have been helpful to know before checking in... 1. Our cabin was dirty...and not just a little bit. 2. The furniture was dated and very worn. The couches were well...

Expensive and the accommodations were horrible. The sheets on the bedding were so thin and worn you could see right through them. The refrigerator was dirty and the cleaning in general was not good. There was no door on a room they called a bedroom and it was outside a very noisy a/c unit. The furniture was in terrible condition....

While the location is great, sadly the accommodations were not. Badly worn furniture, a visible dirt ring in the bathtub, many bugs inside the cabin and around the front door showed an obvious lack of good or recent housekeeping. Judging from the same name on many of the businesses in that area, it appears that one family owns a majority...

Not bad location, fun place, kinda dirty upon entry.. 1 week later broken out head to toe with bed bugs bites. Woke up to bugs in bed with me.. yuck number 19. The couch beds are terrible if over 45 lbs you will fall thru. The kitchen is okay frig. Was clean. Bathroom good. Carpet smelled of urine and so...

We stayed at the Cabins for the weekend with another large family and split one of their two-bedroom cabins. The Cabins were clean and the accommodations met our every need. What made this stay stand out was the hospitality of the staff, in particular Karen. With two families that include three children under 3 years of age, getting away can...

“Book one of the "newer" cabins if you care about amenities and/or bring an air-mattress instead of futons. Dogs are allowed”
