This B&B is loaded with charm and character. Our room was spacious and contained all of the amenities we were looking for. Our hostess was extremely welcoming and provided us with great information about restaurants in the Galveston area as well as restaurants in New Orleans where we were headed. Breakfast was delicious and plentiful and the house was on... More

We drove down from Dallas for a short weekend trip, and generally enjoyed staying here. The room was nice and comfortable, and the house is on a street filled with historic homes. Close to the beach and not far from downtown. Breakfast was good but not excellent. And it is served communal style, so you have to be there at... More

We came into Galveston without a reservation, and arrived on the doorstep around 5:00PM much to the surprise of the owners. They showed us the two options with king sized beds, both in separate buildings from the main house. We ended up with the one that had originally been the kitchen of the main house? I'd recommend in hind sight,... More

I called to book a room for girl trip 2 months away and was encouraged by Ellen to give credit card to secure room and have others do same - NEVER mentioned cancellation fee- but did say we could cancel 30 days prior. Too many wanted to go and not enough room so we had to cancel within 5 days... More

Breakfast was great, Ellen was careful with our food sensitivities. Room was lovely but could use some maintenance. Love the clawfoot tub. Great windows. Balcony was great in the evening. Great location to shops and restaurants. Cute dogs.

My husband and I stayed at the Coppersmith for one night after returning from a cruise. It is a lovely B&B with a great location within walking distance of both the Seawall and The Strand. Ellen was very accommodating in that she let us drop off our luggage when we got off the ship so that we could go out... More

My wife and I (early '50s) spent one night at the Coppersmith preparatory to going on a cruise the next day. We had both recently read the book ISAAC'S STORM (knowing we were going to Galveston) and were eager to see a bit of the town and explore the areas referenced in the book. I knew the Coppersmith had some... More

We had the best time at this wonderful B & B. The historic house is beautiful and has it's own lovely story to tell. The location was perfect; well within walking distance to the Strand and the attractions of the wharf but the most wonderful thing about our stay was Ellen & Blair (and the dynamic pooch duo) They were... Ellen & Blair made our stay in Galveston delightful. Location is an easy and safe walk to the Historic Strand area and great restaurants. We spent New Years eve and they even included us in their celebration! Again GREAT food, festivities, and conversation. We were on a "road trip" from San Diego to New Orleans and this turned out to... More
