This hotel was a great place to stay. Close to a great Pizza Pasta place within walking distance. Nice view of the gulf, which is easy to walk to.
Very clean, staff friendly and very enjoyable! I would recommend this place highly!

Price for 1 night was reasonable considering location, free WIFI, free hot breakfast and free parking while we were on our cruise. Top notch customer service (5 stars) for Carl at Front Desk who went above & beyond to provide the best, as well as Renee at Front Desk was nice & helpful. Only complain was strong odor in the room made me have difficulty of breathing and had to buy a room deodorizer at nearby Walmart. The room was a good size, bed comfortable, the bedsheet made me itch a little (I have sensitive skin), shower and toilet worked without any issue, big mirror with good lighting in the bathroom, and AC worked well and not noisy. Carl assigned us a room on the 3rd floor (top floor) at the end of the hall, so it was quiet, and with ocean view. Good parking with security cameras. We got a perfect parking spot in front of the hotel and we did not have any issue when we picked up our vehicle after our cruise. No shuttle service to and from, we took Uber to Port Terminal (cost $11.00 plus tip) and taxi from Port Terminal back to Best Western on our return (cost $20.00 plus tip). The free hot breakfast was average, but it filled us up before our cruise, and we sat in the pool area, otherwise, the indoor dining area was very small and each table was right next to each other. Elevator worked without any issue, we had two big luggage’s and two carry-on luggages plus the two of us. Check-in and check-out process was a breeze (very easy and fast). Would we want to stay here again? Absolutely! Reason for 4 stars instead of 5 stars was the room odor causing my difficulty of breathing and slightly itchy bedsheet.

This Best Western is located at the far end of the Seawall and offers a quiet location. The pool is very nice and clean. The morning breakfast offered waffles, eggs, sausage and various cereals. Nice helpful staff and late noon check out. The room was spacious and the bed was comfortable.

We stayed at this hotel the night before cruising out of Galveston. I'll discuss the hotel first, read further down for more cruising related info. The hotel was very clean and nicely decorated! The pool area was gorgeous, although it was too chilly for us to use. Close to the beach, cruise port and lots of shopping and restaurants. All but 1 of the staff members we encountered were helpful, friendly, and like to chat and have fun with the guests, 1 even jumped our vehicle for us as it was dead when returning from the cruise. The breakfast was a typical continental breakfast, waffles, cereal, pastries, juice, milk, coffee & hot tea, I only ate the fresh fruit which was very good.
When cruising: The hotel offers free parking while you're on your cruise, they do not have any sort of shuttle to the cruise port so be prepared to get an uber or taxi. We had 4 people and tons of luggage. We did uber xl to the port $13 + tip, about a 20 minute trip with all of the cruise traffic. Taxi back to the hotel $20 + tip (because they are ready and waiting when you get off the ship) about a 6 minute trip.
The only way I can think to make this experience better is to offer a shuttle to the cruise port, even for a fee. But really, dealing with uber and taxi wasn't bad.

Renee was amazing. I saw this in many reviews and she remembered us each day she saw us. I can't say the same about the other front desk staff, but Renee was amazing. The pool area was clean. The pool itself needed some cleaning but wasn't bad. We were lucky on the day we decided to use the pool that there was only 1 other person there. No worries about social distancing there. The beach is kind of a hike but once you get there it is a good area if you don't want many people near you. There is a free parking area so you can get closer and paid parking if you want to get really close. The room was clean, the to go breakfast was good but since we stayed 4 nights it got a little old by the 3rd day but we were thankful for it.

Picked this hotel for a few reasons: free parking during the course of our cruise, price, location. Hotel appears to be a little older but still in decent shape. Staff was super friendly. Room was clean and bed was comfortable. Breakfast was simple but on par with most free hotel breakfast: Food was good and area was clean. Rate was super great.
If you are looking for a hotel on the beach then this is probably not the hotel for you. If you are looking for a nice place to stay and don't mind walking or taking the trolley to other areas then this could be a good place for you. If you are going on a cruise and need a place to stay for a couple of nights before the cruise then this is a great place for you.
People who are looking for a five-star hotel experience but want to pay $80-$100 a night for a room are living in a fantasy world. Those are the people who rate this kind of place as bad. It was a nice place to stay with friendly staff. And the price was super. Would I stay here again? Yes I would.

I am the Director of Sales for a Best Western Inn & Suites in Indiana so I always like to check out other Best Westerns in our "family". My reviews are very true and sincere. The rooms were very spacious, decorated beautifully..... we had a balcony with a great view of the ocean. The breakfast was great with an awesome variety and the entire staff was personable and accommodating. I was very impressed with your hotel and I will definitely recommend staying at your hotel for anyone traveling to Galveston.

I stayed here for one night in late May 2020, still during the COVID-19 challenges. The hotel staff were accommodating and pleasant. The room was very clean.
This is a tourist class motel with somewhat thin walls and only modest ceiling noise dampening. My room was on the first floor. When I complained about noise from above after 11:30pm, the staff person dealt with it immediately, and the problem subsided soon enough.
There is beach access to walkers, but it's a little dicey with not great sidewalks and lots of traffic. May want to take your care and pay to park, with safety in mind.

Really enjoyed staying at this hotel. Housekeeping was on point, our beds were made every day, fresh towels, all trash taken out, etc. Free breakfast was really good, fresh coffee bar available 24/7. Staff were friendly and helpful. Cable TV and free wifi. The pool is small but very clean. If you don't mind crossing the street it's very easy to walk to Stewart beach, I would say maybe a 10 minute walk max. I noticed a lot of other families with kids staying there so I think it has a very family friendly vibe. We will stay there again

Stayed one Saturday evening before our cruise. Check in was quick, efficient and the desk clerk was friendly and chatty. Room (2 queen) was clean, cool, very large and unlike many other Galveston hotels, void of that musty humid beach smell. Breakfast was adequate and had options for all in our party of 2 adults and 2 toddlers. We’ve been to Galveston many many times and usually stay 4 days to a week. This has been one of the better hotels. Although a tad further down, we wouldn’t hesitate to visit again.
