The hotel is very nice. We had a room with a beach view. Easy to find and easy to check in and out of. Parking is bit tight when the hotel is full so if you find a spot i dont recommend taking your vehicle to drive to anywhere rent a golf cart! We rented one and we were able to park it at the hotel with a pass. The staff was pleasant as well. We had trouble with our safe in our room and they sent some one up immediately to see what was wrong. The batter was dead so a simple switch of the batteries solved the problem! It can be a bit pricey but it is worth it.

The location was great and a few of the staff were super friendly. However that's the best of it. For starters, arriving there the front lobby was locked and you had to go to a window. This left a vibe of "is this a safe area?" for us because we had never been to Galveston. The lady at the window said in a demanding tone: Drivers license and credit card please." I asked her what a credit card was for because we paid in full already and she rudely said, "It's required." She then came back to the window and said "I need Chris." The room was booked in my husband's name. He was parking the car. It took him a long time because there was absolutely no parking spot available. He had to park halfway on a sidewalk and walk. All the while she was demanding him and I kept telling her he was parking the car. I didn't like the abrupt and rudeness and he didn't like leaving our SUV halfway on a sidewalk. In addition, we got up to the room and there was a huge yellow stain on the white blanket. We pulled it off and asked the next morning for a different one. They came and cleaned the room but put the same stained blanket back on the bed but tucked it in the bottom. Pillows were very small and comfortable. Bed was not the best. You can sit on the foot of the bed and open the fridge because room is so small two people can't walk past each other. The breakfast buffet did not look appetizing. We ate at Miller's on West seawall and that is highly reccomended! Overall we choose this hotel to spend our first anniversary and were utterly disappointed. The pool looked green and the elevator smelled like oil/lubricant. The ice machine had a sign that said, "Get ice next door at the convenience store." The tub literally took 20 minutes to drain. If the hotel would have been at least clean and pleasant, our anniversary would have been perfect. Galveston is a great city. Just stay somewhere else.

I usually don’t right poor reviews, but I feel customers need to know. First off, there is no link on their home page to write any reviews. We arrived on Feb 2nd after a long drive from Dallas pulling our Pirate float to participate in the parade the following day. My wife went to go check in and we asked if it would be ok for us to park in the front where there were spaces available. Was told, No problem. While setting up the masts, a women came out and said “The manager said to move it. “ I explained that we had cleared it with the front desk, and she told me the manager wants it moved. I asked to speak to the manager, and she refused. Would have been different had I been asked by the manager instead of being told.
The showers were not very warm, never got hot.
We stayed in a room with 2 queen size beds, and we had to go and get 2 more towels.
The backroom door you had to use a lot of force to make it stay closed.
We were not able to use all of the freezer due to the inch plus ice on the freezer walls.
The railing in the stairwell were sticky and never been cleaned as their webpage describes. Also smelled like Urine.
Each Nite we were there was a homeless person asleep in the stairwell.
And lastly, the wooden chairs in the dining room are very loud and constantly being dragged along by other patrons. Make it very loud and not an enjoyable place to eat. They either need to put some king of rubber to the chair bases or carpet the floors.

This hotel is not interested in treating you as a valued guest. They do not live up to what they are advertising on their webpage and misrepresenting their promises.

I hope this helps you make proper decisions and know what to expect if you stay there.

The price and Trip Advisor reviews were major factors in choosing this hotel, but the facility was excellent in every way. Our room was recently remodeled, the room, the pool area, and the commin areas were all clean.
We arrived Monday 10/18 after 4 pm. The front desk clerk was exceptional, She was welcoming and efficient. Later we stopped by the desk to check on towels for pool and she told to use the ones from the room and more would be delivered to the room. The towels were in the room when we returned from the pool. That evening we turned on the TV to find no signal. In less than 5 minutes a very pleasant maintenance man arrived and quickly found the problem.
We had a partial gulf view room and could see the water from the bed. The room had been completely re done with new floor tile, bathroom fixtures, large screen TV, refigerator, microwave and a great mattress. Plenty of hot water and water pressure.
The included breakfast was the Covid style sack but was better than average and did include some protein. Fresh fruit and a nice variety of coffee and hot chocolate was available in the lobby at all hours
The hotel was in the midst of refurbishing, but the workers were polite and went out of their way to stay out of the way The room adjacent to ours was being completely re done but the workers waited until 9:00 am to start making any noise. They kept the halway clear for traffic.
This was our second stay at Beachfront Palms, and plan on staying here for every future visit to Galveston.

Upon arriving to this hotel I asked if a room was ready. I knew I was early, so I said no rush, just wondering if one was available. The girl at the desk handed me a key and told me to check and see if room 201 was clean. Although silly, I did. I brought my stuff back out and just said I would wait until they for sure have word that is had been cleaned. I, and my family who were with me were then given another room. Beachview. When we walked in the "beach view" was only there if you lean over the railing and peek through a palm tree. We went back down and were told that there would be the best beach view available, but it isn't ready. We waited until well after check in time to get this beach front view. It was mostly of a Kroger parking lot, with the beach in the very far distance, and there was no balcony or window to see that - we had to sit ridiculously in camping chairs in the walk way. The smell of the lobby was atrociously disgusting, the rooms, musty and when the air turned on it smelled like a fart. My toilet wouldn't flush, I had to let everything accumulate and disintegrate before anything would remotely flush. My hair dryer fell out of the wall right before I realized white sticky stuff was on it. The coffee pot I couldn't even touch and house keeping didn't come in the room once. BY the end of my stay my wastebasket was overflowing, my ONE towel I received the ENTIRE stay was disgusting but when asking for more, nobody was receiving them. Behind the bathroom door was covered in little pieces of toilet paper, hair that wasn't mine and who knows what else. The topping was on the second day when my aunt who walked with a cane due to an injury then had to be injured even further because the elevator became out of order. For 3 days she had to take stairs up and down. There wasn't even an attempt to fix it. The towels barely fit around my 130 lb body, the shampoo and conditioner given was so cheap, and the sheets and blankets were so thin I froze every night, yet wanted cool air to make the room feel cleaner. The staff was incredibly unhelpful and just lied the whole time - not to mention made ME go look to see if my room was cleaned. The website lies, the staff is incompetent. The one thing this property does a great job of, is completely fooling people into staying there. Everyone we talked to was having a miserable stay, people were even going to Walmart to carry in their own toilet paper.

Asked for towels five times and never got them. Same for trash. Literally asked two different people; including a guy with a cart of towels! Roaches seen outside room. Breakfast included is a joke ( handed us an orange and a frozen corn dog; I’m not kidding). It’s by the beach and Kroger, and has free wifi.

Not at all as represented on their website

No indoor pool or a gym as website shows, lobby very shabby, trash everywhere in common areas, room and bathroom disgusting, with stains on walls and ceilings, doors filthy, stained sheets and no housekeeping service unless requested. We requested service 4 times and finally they sent a young man with clean sheets and towels. No cleaning was done. Pool not heated, loud crowds day and evening, some drinking with loud music playing all day. No rules followed - no food or drinks allowed but plenty there. Pets not allowed but several in hotel including in the enclosed pool area. Only real positive is the plantings around pool looked decent.

Hello, thank you for your critical feedback. Our apologies if your stay with us did not go as planned, our rooms are cleaned thoroughly daily as well as our grounds. Unfortunately, during the busier months it can tend to get a little noisy with our hotel being at capacity, with many families coming and going; creating debris and sound. Though, you are correct regarding our housekeeping regulations, since the pandemic most guests are not comfortable having housekeeping coming into their room without permission. Because of this, we try to be considerate and do not enter rooms unless requested by the guest. If housekeeping did not visit your room after requested, this is definitely an error on our end for failing to communicate the request to housekeeping. Your concerns regarding the room cleanliness will be brought to the attention of housekeeping management to ensure it is addressed directly. Our pool can tend to get a little busy, especially during the heat of summer and spring, while we do monitor the pool we also like to give our guest to opportunity to enjoy the pool and the sunshine. The pool is heated but due to pool safety regulations it cannot go past 75 degrees, there is quite a bit of difference between a jacuzzi and a heated pool, but ours is definitely heated. Because of this, there tends to be many families with young children, who of course like to spend a good amount of time there, our apologies if this was of disturbance to you. As for the animals, we are not a pet friendly property we only allow service animals on property, this may have been the case for the animals you witnessed. Any other undisclosed animals on property is not allowed and is a violation of our policies, these guest will be charged accordingly. Please, do not let this one experience with us be your deciding factor on visiting us again in the future, we are currently under renovations both inside and outside of the rooms. We are working as a team to ensure all our guest have a great experience while staying with us, we are only going to get better from here and we hope you will return to witness the progress we're making!

Worst place to stay especially if you are on vacation with family and kids. We have booked 2 rooms for 2 nights however one of our room was not cleaned on the DAY 2 of our trip even after repeated requests. One room was cleaned after 5:30 PM. And this seems a very old property, you will find roaches almost everywhere in the property as soon as its dawn. Dark and shady walk-ways to rooms, roaches in rooms, bad customer service and filthy and weared out furniture in the room.

Mismanaged property, choose it only if you have no other place to live in Galveston.

Stayed one Saturday night on September 18, 2021. There is no evening security. Our brand new car was keyed in the parking lot only 30 feet in front of the motel not hotel entrance. I have stayed at many places all over this wonderful state. This is not one of them. The location may be great because it is across from the beach but if you value your security do not stay. Tried to get a refund but was denied. Was told because the place did not advertise they had security after employees left they are not responsible. Drunks yelling all hours of the night. It was not a place to visit. Do not be fooled by the positive reviews.

I spent so long looking for a hotel that would let us put two adults and a 4yo in a room with a king bed that I got mixed up and booked this thinking it was one with great reviews and, for the high price, was going to be a higher end experience. It was a “cheap motel” experience. Filthy window, mold on the bathroom ceiling, broken glass on the floor and *in the bed.* Grungy floors, grimy stairwells, trash in the walkways, smallest pillows and towels I’ve ever seen. Proprietor was cheerful and filled our request for more towels quickly, so one positive point. I sent an email To the establishment after-the-fact explaining that I did not want to waste any of our brief family getaway fussing about the room and getting moved to another one With 80% of the same problems (the windows were all clearly dirty, stairwell doesn’t change with the room, and would a different room have had larger, thicker towels? No. Besides, if he had an updated room available, why would it have been sitting empty with us in an old moldy one??) but would consider the matter fairly resolved with a partial refund bringing the amount paid in line with the quality delivered. I received no reply.
