This is a new hotel on the island and convenient to the beach and seawall blvd. From here you can explore all of Galveston, beaches, wharf, and historical areas and homes. This makes it nice when one or more of your party just wants the beach and others (such as myself) are more into history.

This trip was for our 43rd Anniversary, and we chose Homewood Suites because we've come to appreciate the little things that make Homewood Suites different. The suite was spotless and quite comfortable, although I do wish hotels in general would select better pillows (the ones offered always look good, but don't provide much head and neck support). The staff was attentive and friendly, something you don't often see in chain hotels. Breakfast was fairly simple and similar each day, but it was hot and kept well stocked. The evening social nibbles leave something to be desired, but I have noticed a downward trend recently in this area in all the Homewood Suites. Previously, the evening social offering was closer to an actual light dinner, but that has given way to mac and cheese one night, hot dogs on another. Still, this is a personal nitpick point chain-wide, and not a strike against the Galveston Homewood Suites itself. I actually had no real complaints about the hotel, the staff, the cleanliness, the overall experience. It's location at the far end of the Seawall makes it quiet yet convenient. Galveston Island is not that large, so you can get anywhere on the island in just a few minutes from this hotel. Yes, I would stay there again.

This was our first time staying in Galveston with our two young daughters, although we have visited for day trips in the past. After considering many other hotel and condo options, we opted to stay in Homewood Suites because of their amenities, room availability, price, location, and free cancellation policy. When we arrived, we were thrilled to discover how much quieter the hotel location is compared to other hotels on the Seawall. If you've ever visited Galveston's Seawall, you know it can get really busy and hectic and loud on the Seawall, but our hotel was ideally situated across the street from the Stewart Beach entrance without all the traffic, crowds, and noise. In fact, we could safely and easily cross the street to get to the beach without any major traffic coming through.
When we checked in, we were greeted by a friendly receptionist who quickly got us situated and answered all our questions. There is signage indicating that masks are required, but they did not strictly enforce that rule and more than half the guests opted to not wear them during their time in the lobby or other shared spaces. We were happy to discover that our room was just as advertised, and was spacious and clean. We had a full size fridge, a two-burner cook-top, microwave, toaster, dishwasher, and a full set of dishes, pots, pans, and silverware. This is ideal for families that want to cook or need to prepare food due to dietary restrictions.
Each day we enjoyed their free breakfast buffet with lots of options, although the offerings changed each day. Some of the options included scrambled eggs, sausage patties, bacon, hashbrowns, biscuits, various breads and muffins, fresh fruit, juices, coffee, and a waffle station. They do ask that anyone going through the breakfast buffet wear a mask and disposable gloves, and they provide them right there.
The only things we didn't love about our stay is that they do charge a daily rate for parking of $10 each day, and if you're not facing the ocean, your room will overlook some dingy apartments behind the hotel. Other than that, we loved our stay and would definitely stay again.

Spent a couple of nights here for a mini-vacation. They are taking the Covid guidelines seriously- enforcing mask policies, hand sanitizer around, staff serving the hot items at breakfast (cereal is available prepackaged), and everything is clean. I stayed in a one bedroom Oceanview suite on the top floor that smelled clean when you walked in without being overpowering. The room was up to the Hilton standard in every way. The Oceanview rooms give you a great view of Stewart Beach eastward allowing you to watch the waves and boats pass by. The hotel and area are quiet at night, but still easy to get to downtown, Pleasure Pier, or the ferry.

When we arrived, we were greeted warmly by the front desk staff. Check in was quick. When we arrived at our room, there was a sealed sticker on our door that breaks when the door is opened, ensuring nobody had been in except us since it was cleaned. The room was clean and well stocked. We had no problem finding any of the amenities in the hotel. Breakfast was warm and delicious. We will definitely return next time we are in galveston!

The hotel is located right in front of the beach, and it was so affordable. The convention center is less than 15 minutes away. By using Hilton app, you can check in, select a room, open the room door and check out. They had a server standing by for breakfast, and we enjoyed warm bagels, muffins, cereals and juices. The room has a cooktop, dishwasher, and a large fridge with pots and pans and dishes. I wished I could stay longer.

We didn’t like having to pay $15 per day for parking on top of our daily room cost. It was like paying an additional day of hotel stay - we stayed 5 days.
Trying to get clean towels each day was like pulling teeth. We had 5 people in our room - we didn’t need more than 5 towels each day, but sometimes had a difficult time getting them.
The staff was excellent!

The space was decent meaning it appeared to be clean and it was spacious. Issues were in our suite we had to ask for dish detergent, dish washer detergent, a scrubbie for the dirty saucepan that was under the stovetop with the clean dishes, and some paper towels, plus we did not have any wash clothes in our bathroom. We understand being environmentally friendly but in that suite there needs to be at least an 8 gallon flip top trash can in the kitchen are and those little recycling cans can go on the big wall. The frig had not been thoroughly wiped. Nevertheless we still enjoyed our stay here, now that we know what to ask for in advance our travels can only get better. Oh my bad the front desk staff was awesome, no matter how many times I called they were nice. Names of kindness Michelle receptionist and Robert in housekeeping plus everyone else we were in contact with during our stay. Thank y’all.

We stayed at Homewood Suites for an overnight before our cruise. This is a great hotel- the rooms are huge, full of useful amenities, and they have a ceiling fan!! This is a small detail that this girl really appreciates because I sleep with fans at home year round. We had an adjoining room with our travel group, which was nice, but if you’re using the adjoining rooms for your kids please note that the doors do not stay open on their own, so bring a doorstop if you want them to stay open.
We had an ocean view room, which i will post a photo of. Honestly, if it costs extra for this view (I don’t recall), then skip it. It’s a view of the road and an RV park and finally a sliver of water. Plus, the sun will come up directly into your window, so if you’re a light sleeper and that will bother you, it’s not ideal. The blackout curtains are not 100%.
Shower pressure is excellent and I enjoyed the big walk in shower. No tubs though!
Bed was a little too firm for my liking, and the pillows are utter crap. Why do hotels insist on using pillows filled with 15 feathers that completely flatten the second you lay down on them?? I need a real pillow, people!

The staff was amazing,room cleaned, food was good and walking distance to Stewart beach and Bahama bucks. This hotel has a small pad for the little ones and basketball court. It on the east end of Galveston very quiet less traffic. We stay the weekend of spring break, the hotel was sold out be famines practice social distancing and very friendly. This is my go to hotel.
