DO NOT STAY HERE! Mangement is very rude and the TV did not even work. When we reported it the manager/owner came in and was very rude and stated that we would get $15.00 off our bill because of the TV being inoperative. When we checked out she stated No it was working when I left and you had a picture...yes... More

Never again will I disregard on-line reviews for a hotel stay. We booked a room a few weeks in advance as most hotels in the Stockyards fill up quickly on weekends. My husband and I attended the Chris Kyle Benefit Memorial and were simply looking for a comfortable place to sleep. We weren't expecting much and weren't picky about a... More

The beds were comfortable and the location was great. It is walking distance from the Stockyards and a cheap Uber ride from downtown. But there are some major concerns, mainly fire safety. In the rooms there are window ac units. Mine had a towel underneath on the windowsill to collect water. It was soaking and dripping wet, and there is... More

" We stayed here after a girls night at the Stockyards and it was perfect! The atmosphere is quirky and the furnishings are western which was just what we were wanting. The front desk staff were super friendly and very accommodating. It is not a cookie cutter hotel for sure!

My stay was not very good. For starters, they had just made a new key for my room, but said it didn't work. My options were to leave my door unlocked when I left or have the management with a master key open it for me every time. The room smelled. The shower was way tiny. There wasn't even a... More

You have to lol at the other reviews regarding the hateful female manager. All true. No continental breakfast as promised by expedia either. Only street parking and the bathroom was illegal - with no powered ventilation. No soap either.

Yes the owner of this establishment is not friendly due to her culture and maybe should have chosen another occupation but this is a step back in time . I thought the reviews were harsh and racial and based on five star hotel standards. If you are looking for resort lodging get the hell out of the stockyards and go... More

The woman at the counter was the most hateful and rudest person I have ever met in my life! This is a foreign lady with a terrible attitude! I would sleep in my car before I would stay here! All I told her when she told me the price of the room was that was a little more than we... More

I have stayed at the Hotel Texas many times. The location in the Stockyards simply cannot be beat. While the rooms were always clean in the past, this last time I went it appears they have purchased new bedding. It was a nice addition. While the hotel itself is old, if you are spending a weekend or night at the... More

I never usually bother to write reviews but after staying here I felt I had to as it was so dreadful. The staff were very rude & could hardly speak English. The reception stank. The bed covers were smelly and uncomfortable and the bed felt like it would fall apart at any moment. The toilet and shower were both really smelly.... More
