My husband and I attended our high school proms at the Echo Hotel when it was new. Now we always stay at the Echo every time we visit family in the Valley. We love it! We love the ambiance of this beautiful old landmark. It gets better with age. The rooms are very clean, the service is great and the...

Love the retro-vibe of the place gives it great appeal. The staff is cheerful, gives great service and is very helpful. The food is good and inexpensive. On the minus side. Rooms need to be fumigated and a/c filters changed. Freshen rooms for dank smell. The location is good near highway and good restaurants. Close to other cities of interest.

Dear Guest Thank you for you comments and rest assured that we will check those a/c units. If would be helpful if I knew which room you were staying in?

We spent 2 nights while my son was swimming in the Summer Games of Texas. I wish we could have stayed longer. I enjoyed the ambience of the vintage hotel and could have spent all day wondering around their dining room. And the food was delicious and so reasonably priced. I don't know how they stay open at the prices...

Years ago they needed a hotel in Edinburg. A coop was formed by locals to do just that, hence the name. It is a legacy type hotel, where my parents might have stayed on their honey moon or vacation decades ago. Sure they have modern motel rooms set around a courtyard and pool, as well as a several story hotel,...

We stayed at the Echo for 2 months and it was a place I would recommend to all.We had family and friends at the trailer park and were able to participate in the activities with them. It is located 1/2 hour drive from New Progresso Mexico where we parked on the US side for a $2 daily fee and walked...

We booked a block of rooms for family and friends visiting from out of town. The hotel showed us some rooms that were very nice on the outside of hotel. They assured us the rooms provides to our guest would be on the outside, not in the building itself. Unfortunately, I had several family/friends with a terrible experience: One family...

Traveled with my wife and silky terrier on a quick one-nighter. This is a historic building in a city once known as an "All-America City" recipient. As natives who have moved away, this is a favorite of ours. The "outside-facing" rooms are very comfortable and recent re-modeling project has replaced all AC's. Best of all, guests receive a free welcome...

For it being in business for 50 some years, I have to say I was very pleased with my stay. The rooms are newly renovated, and the location is nice. I stayed in a junior suite, so it wasn't in the actual hotel but on the ground level next to the pool. Breakfast in the morning is delicious. They give...
