I have stayed in the area before and knew the Motel 6 was near to where I needed to be located. It was clean with a friendly staff and plenty of hot water. Other than that, it is in the middle of a Interstate construction that makes it difficult to enter, is worn and unappealing. It is not on my list of recommended inns.

We stayed there for few nights and really it was ok- There is a massive construction in front of the motel and then construction on the freeway that is on the side of the motel- yes it was hard to navigate to get into the motel for at times crew construction were working at night and had the road closed and we needed to do several detours to get in the parking lot..to be fair the rooms were updated not with super good quality material but updated..MY ONLY COMPLAINT TO THE MANAGER THERE AND TO MOTEL 6 WILL BE THEIR DOORS DON'T LOCK SHUT OR SECURELY..somehow when they changed locks or something the doors don't close or lock right into place.you have to slam the door shut and then make sure it does not open.Second day we're there we left do not disturb sign on the door, closed the door and left for hours.WHEN we returned that afternoon the door was open & the sign on the door was gone. it bothered us but thought we needed to slam hard the door next time or it will not shut properly and besides we only had our clothes there and nothing was missing. TRULY THAT IS A VERY IMPORTANT ISSUE THAT MOTEL 6 NEEDS TO CORRECT FOR THE SAFETY OF THEIR CUSTOMERS. I think when construction is done and the locks are corrected this motel is a good location and offers good view you have the planes landing on the left side of the motel the freeway buzing on the left and the metro honking in forward view..I personally thought it was very entertaining.

After a long day of driving, I figured I'd just stop and get the family to bed. Yeah.....bad decision. I should've changed my mind when I saw the rent-a-cop doing his rounds as I was getting out of my car. The room stunk like dirty carpet and stale furniture. The white linens were clean but the comforter and blanket literally had stains that i don't want to know what they actually were. The tv is bolted to the table. There's a bottle opener where most hotels have tissue boxes. Best part..... the A/C unit was making an awful noise after half an hour, keeping me up until 2 am. Then , when that was shut off, the toilet tank kept refilling due to a leak every 15 minutes. So I'm laying in a cold room with only the one clean thin white sheet, listening to the toilet run. Pure hell. There wasn't even a clock radio in the room. Last crack head probably took it to pawn it. Seriously, stay away from this motel 6.

I stay at a lot of Motel 6s because I travel with my sport/show dog quite a bit. We spent three nights here attending the USA Sieger show this year. It was dreadful. This is your Motel 6 nightmare. This is the kind of place where people are sitting in the doorways...doing what I don't know. But even though I am a fairly big buy and had my trusty German Shepherd with me, they still made me nervous. I always took my dog with me when I went out of the room. And to top it off, the front desk staff was rude. You know that kind of rude where they make you feel like you are bothering them by checking-in. I honestly dont understand how places like this stay in business.

I should have known better as soon I checked into this hotel. I booked this reservation online without knowing much about the place, it was simply closest to where I need to be. At the hotel desk, there were two what looked like either strippers or hookers (wearing basically underwear) talking to the desk person. After we got our room key and drove to the room, I spotted two obvious pimps in the parking lot casually talking to a cop. The hotel seemed to have an on site cop, but his friendliness towards the pimps made me feel less safe. BTW, how do I know they were pimps? Trust me, you know when you see one. Later, in the middle of the night, my husband and I were woken by the couple next door having sex and then an argument, and then most disturbingly we could hear him beating her and then her screaming/crying. After that disturbing incident, I got very little sleep. Right before we checked out the next morning, as I was packing in the light of day, I finally noticed a used condom that was hidden between the bed and the nightstand. This was an absolutely horrible experience. I strongly advise anyone against staying at this nasty place.

Stayed 1 night. Chose due to location near meeting location the next day. First issue: Construction makes it almost impossible and downright dangerous to get to this hotel. When we arrived (930pm) there were people everywhere!! Children were rollerblading along the walkways in front of rooms. People with dogs out walking all over. It looked like an apartment complex on a summer night where everyone mingled and hung out together! Couldn't even drive to the parking spot without having to wait for people to get out of the way. We were very disappointed before we ever made it to the room. The room itself was recently updated but it was like they just put new stuff over old worn down stuff. It looked new but when u got closer you could see the old. It was so loud due to the people outside and the construction that sleeping was almost worse than staying awake. Maybe after the construction is done and every one that is apparently living there moves on it will be nice but I will never go back to find out and can't recommend this hotel to anyone I don't hate. Spend $50 more and go down the street to Marriott. Worth the upgrade.

We had reservations for Monday August 6th and August 11th,2012. When we get into the room we just don't look at the room we inspect it. We found lots of hair in the bathroom like someone just finished taking a shower, food was on the floor near the bed so that lead to us moving the bed and finding all kinds of stuff I screamed because there was a 2inch cockroach, a used bar soap and not to mention the other stuff we found. Showed the owner, was offered another room and it was just as nasty as the first one the owner was ashamed which he should of been. we just ended up getting a refund and staying at the marroitt down from them. Be ware of this place!

Here is the letter I wrote motel 6 regarding my almost stay, thank god I booked with American Express and they refunded my money.

To begin let me say that this was by far the worst hotel I have ever stayed in in my entire life. I am now driving back to Sreveport Louisiana and as my fiancée drives I plan to write nothing but complaint letters and write negative reviews. Our stay was at the motel on forest lane in Dallas. We checked in around 4 and dropped our bags off in our room, then immediately left to go to dinner and a show. Upon arrival back to the room at approximately 11, we noticed as soon as we opened the door, an incredibly strong aroma of marijuana. Being a US Marine and my fiancée being a nurse, we do not put ourselves in that sort of environment willingly. We do not do illegal drugs and do not want to be around it, let alone have our belongings smell like it. I immediately went down to the front desk to inform the manager on duty about the problem. I told him that I did not want to stay in that room, and that I would either like a different room or a refund. He told me that there was nothing he was willing to do about the situation. I recorded him telling me this and being rude to me and am willing to provide you with the video caught on my camera phone. Then he sent the security guard up to my room, which I also recorded. He stated in the video how he could also smell a strong odor of marijuana. At this point the manager came up and also stated that he could smell the strong odor of illegal drugs. I requested for them to find if the smell was coming from the room next to us (that is all that makes sense) and he told me he would not. I asked him repeatedly to call the police to take care of the matter to which he ignored me and went into the office and locked the door. I proceeded to call Expedia to get a refund, and they told me over and over again that they would have to speak to the manager to authorize the request. I could see him inside ignoring the calls from expedia as I stood outside. I ended up calling American Express and canceling the payment since we would not be staying at some drug infested hotel. I could not believe that this is how a national chain handles their customers with situations involving illegal drugs. I plan to never spend another dime with a motel 6 as this was my first and only experience with motel 6. I want to know what is being done to handle this and why I was told that the police couldn't be called as requested. I plan on sending this into every military blog and website I am a part of, along with every news station I can find. The videos can be sent to you also if you would like.

Extremely dissatisfied,
R
