Great location, we walked everywhere from this hotel. From the moment we checked in ( despite the young lady on reception ask us numerous times if we want to upgrade our room because we were "only in a standard room") we felt at home. The room was extremely large and spacious with a great view of the city. So our "just a standard room" was perfect for us! The concierge desk gave us some information about restaurants etc and Phil was the most friendliest helpful member of staff. He remembered our names every time we came in the lobby. He is a great asset to your hotel! Nothing was too much trouble. The hotel bar was very nice and a great place to meet before going out, we just wish it was a bit larger as a couple of times we had to sit just outside the actual bar in the lobby with our drinks. The only negative about the hotel was dinner in the Pyramid restaurant. The service was not good! We were served by 2 older gentlemen , one of which really did not seem keen to serve us at all. There were 6 of us and we noticed he would serve the men first before the ladies each time with our food!! The food was not very nice. We ordered the steak meal for 2 , it was cold, extremely small portion and had a strange sour taste to it. But I would still recommend this hotel, I would stay here again for sure but just would not eat here.On the day we left the door staff were amazing, gave us bottles of water , arranged their own car for us to the airport and were very professional and friendly, again , with thanks to Phil and his team!

Had a reservation to stay here last week and upon arriving, found out there was a water main break which affected my room. The staff was very helpful in calling and creating a new reservation at the Westin Downtown which exceeded my expectations. Although I didnt stay at this hotel during my stay, I really appreciated how helpful and kind the staff was making sure everything was taken care off. I really appreciated the kindness of Solomon the bell-man who made sure I had water upon my arrival and always found a way to get me an uber or courtesy car between hotels. Also, Jonathan and Noah at Concierge were helpful in getting my package which got delivered to this hotel and provided tips on things to do around Dallas. I really enjoyed my stay in Dallas because of how kind the staff was! Kudos to the team. I travel a lot for work and this was one of the most memorable hotel staff in a very good way :)

Booked a room at the Fairmont for an upgraded King room & We Got a tiny hole with two small beds & NO explanation!! When we called down to ask why we didn’t get the room we RESERVED we were told it’s at the discretion of the hotel because we used a booking site to reserve our room. Excuse me?!!
I will NEVER stay at your rotten hotel again! First of all because that is a LIE!!
This hotel is no longer the place it used to be. 😞 Sadly it’s trashy; smells of the strongest smell; like an old Woman’s perfume that’s so thick it gags you, and no amenities at all. I even witnessed a breakfast buffet that was served on tables without a tablecloth on them! They do it better at the comfort inn. When fine hotels like this start treating people as if they don’t matter, and trashing up the place with classlessness it’s time to mark it off your list. Bye Fairmont - you contributed to the murder of the service industry.

I booked 2 nights downtown for a pleasure trip to Dallas. I got an amazing rate for the brand. The staff were polite but the overall vibe during the stay is they're beat down with complaints they have no control to fix and very short staffed. The Pyramid restaurant is closed except for breakfast. I was looking forward to dining there, but the only food you can get is the very limited bar menu. I was told no room service was available, but didn't try either.

I was told on check in that there was no daily housekeeping, but if I needed anything I could call. My room had a queen bed, desk, dresser with minibar and a coffee machine. The problem in a post-pandemic world is that all the drinkware was glass / ceramic and I have no idea how it was cleaned before I got there. Was it sterilized or was it wiped with a cleaning rag? I'd rather have had paper cups.

The bed was comfortable, but not heavenly. The 4 pillows on the bed were flat as pancakes. I couldn't find a single USB port to charge my phone, but luckily I brought my own. The toilet didn't flush properly unless you held the handle down for 10+ seconds. The view was spectacular from my room. The aircon lied to my face. It said it was 60 degrees, but it was more like 78. I woke up sweating.

The Fairmont has always been a world-class hotel brand and hopefully this location will recover when things get back to normal. For the rate I paid, it was ok, but definately not what I was expecting.

I love staying in Fairmont, they are beautiful hotels with fantastic staff and service.

However, stop overcharging for basic services!

1. WiFi should be included in the room
2. Watching a movie in your room should not cost more than the entire budget of said film
3. Breakfast should = continental and American buffet. Not one or the other!

Great downtown location within walking distance to many location attractions. However, this hotel is a bit like many hotels now...form over function. We had many items within our room and the facility that were broken or not functional. 1. Our bathroom door wouldn't close without putting a shoulder into it. 2. The shower head fell out of the wall 3. The TV wouldn't work and the maintenance team said they couldn't find a solution 4. The store within the hotel had extremely lack luster employees. The 2 times I went into the shop...First time the older lady just stared at me and never said a word. The 2nd time was a gentleman and he was off doing something else and no one else was in the store while I waited to be checked out. 5. The kiddie/shallow pool was full of leaves and algae. 6. The essential oils pumped through the lobby were overpowering 7. The elevator uses your room key to function....sometimes it works/sometimes not. 8. The Starbucks within the hotel has truly unacceptable employees. 2 girls running the place on the morning of 8/5. Lazy and very rude. Our son who was with us also works at a Starbucks was appalled at their behavior and lack of knowledge/information. 9. No bathroom vent/fan so it was impossible to get ready after a shower until the door had been open for 10-15 minutes. 10. The toilet paper holder fell out of the wall. 10. We were told at check-in that due to covid regulations still in place, they would not have any housekeepers in our rooms unless we called to request something. We had people in our rooms multiple times daily despite no one asking for anything. The minibar refillers are persistent to get in even when we told them we didn't need anything refilled. 11. There is a fridge in the room, however it is so packed with their minibar supplies there was no room to put anything of our own it in. 12. The pool has no access to walk in. It is only accessed by climbing down the ladders. This was fine for us, but may prove to be a problem for many seniors and/or mobility restrictions. 13. The street noise (even at floor 15) was extremely loud at night. Constant emergency vehicles and sirens.

This was not a cheap hotel. It is considered a "luxury" hotel, and we decided to treat ourselves for once. It was a let down for that much money and lack luster care of the facility and employees.

Went to Dallas for the weekend with my girlfriend and choose the Fairmont due to good price and location. Booked a rate that included breakfast and parking. Overall I was beyond impressed. Despite older property, nice rooms and common areas. Great upgrade to 20th floor corner room with great views. Great service and amenities with 2x daily housekeeping, robes, nice toiletries, free bottles of water stocked daily and more. Always quick to provide service. Only thing is at busy times hotel could take a while to answer the phone and valet can take a while but that’s expected due to current labor issues. Also some staff didn’t speak English so a bit hard to understand at times. Valet was always friendly though. Breakfast was great for a rate that includes breakfast, all was very good with great hot and cold options, service was a bit slow to to restaurant being understaffed. At check out was charged for parking 2x (despite it being including in rate) and upgrade I was told complementary but both removed easily at checkout. Only issue is that pool deck was very dirty when I went and staff didn’t do a good job at cleaning it. Overall great stay and would absolutely stay again. The Fairmont brand is very comparable to Ritz Carlton in terms of service and amenities but at a much more affordable price.

The hotel is average, nothing special.
Room was clean and basic.
I booked and paid for Wifi in the room, front desk told me I didn't and it would cost $15 per day. Until I finally found the email confirming I had complimentary Wifi, I was given the pin code.
Wifi stopped working one day and nobody was able to tell when it'd be back on. IT person not there apparently. Therefore I was unable to work.
No room service late at night. Guests came back from a cocktail party quite hungry and there was no room service available.
But overall it was adequate.

Had a basic king bedroom and received a good discount on the Fairmont Website for being a first-responder ( was greatly appreciated). The room was quiet and clean. The room was also outdated and a very small bathroom, even for a budget hotel standards. Room also did not have an alarm clock or a fridge for personal usage, both two items that many would assume to be standard... Had a salad with brisket one evening and it was excellent. Drinks at the pool bar and hotel bar were excellent, but over priced at $18 each. The hotel was clean and well-maintained. I was impressed by how fast the elevators were, and never had to wait too long. The fitness center was clean, but a couple of treadmills did not work, and one morning there was no sani-wipes available. What really makes this places stand out is the staff. Every encounter I had with a staff member was warm and friendly, even if just passing in the hallways. Honestly one of the best customer services experiences I have seen in a long time. For those visiting, I would recommend expecting to spend a lot if one indulges in the hotel services and would recommend purchasing a room upgrade.

Our booking when we made it had a “ credit of 50 food and beverage per room”. I printed that out. When we were there, I called down and asked about it and was told no. After 5 minutes I got mad bc I was SURE that I remembered that. So I went down to desk and a senior person looked at my reservation and said yes, we had a credit for two rooms. So we had breakfast. Print the sheet and take with you if you get that offer. Hotel very nice otherwise. But the location was perfect for us!
