The rooms were very comfortable and provided us with lots of room. We loved having a suite where we could spread out. It was nice having a refrigerator and microwave in the room so that we could reheat our leftovers from the night before. The shower was amazing!!!! There is a rain shower option as well as a regular showerhead.

We booked this hotel in Jan 2019 for the Winter Classic, and for the price it was adequate. The breakfast bar was great, I have a specialized diet and I was able to find enough to eat and feel full. The refrigerators leave a lot to be desired. I bought groceries so I could avoid braving any restaurants if I could. The fridge never felt cold enough for me to feel safe about eating what I stored, so I ended up using the cooler I brought instead. I was a little upset because I really needed a reliable refrigerator. Valet was expensive and drove my hotel bill up but the parking around was questionable enough to where I felt valet was the safest and best choice. The Starbucks inside the hotel was a bonus I didn't expect. Finally, I left a pair of very expensive headphones in my room and though they use a third party database service to reunite guests with their belongings, it took them longer than it should have to print the label provided and send them out. I have my headphones back safely but they did not adhere to the quoted delivery date. Otherwise, this is a good location. I'd probably stay here again.

So glad I went with this hotel. Staff is very nice and hotel is clean. The AC Hotel is next door if you were thinking of either or I'd go with this one. There's a Starbucks at the lobby of the hotel open from 7am to 3pm. The complimentary breakfast was literally a muffin, bottled water and an orange. I guess thats the covid special but it was free so whatever. You are in the middle of downtown 7-Eleven 2 blocks away, Neiman Marcus across the street and countless restaurants all around you. You could even walk to the Farmers Market and to Deep Ellum (the "hip" area of Dallas so they say) if you've been to Wynwood in Miami its pretty much that. In short its a very walkable area but depending on the food you're looking for you need to drive.

My 2 cons are that 1. They try to push the hotel parking which is $28 per day when the garage behind the hotel is only $10 per day and if you dont mind walking 4 blocks (no one walks here so you might think thats alot depending) you can park in a lot for $4 from 7am to 6pm and there's free parking on the street of the hotel from 6pm to 7am. Saved me a ton and when I asked about street parking because I refused to pay the hotel's insane parking garage price no one said a thing to me. So glad I scouted things out for myself.

2. The first room I got sent to was visibly dirty and I was sure the room hadn't been clean by any standards. I asked to switch rooms and told them they need to clean this one. They moved me immediately which I appreciated and the next room was spotless.

P.S. there are alot of homeless people downtown they are not mean or aggressive but do not leave anything of value in your car just be smart.

Overall a 9 out of 10 for my first trip to Dallas.

I have never seen such a zoo as the breakfast at this hotel. Most food was finished by 8:30 am and took staff a half hour to replenish. Food was thrown on counters and floors without any staff collecting it. Kids were coughing all over food and some using their hands to pick up eggs. I ran out of bread, oatmeal, eggs, juice and some bread. The hygiene at breakfast was scary, especially in the mist of a coronavirus pandemic. The room cleaning was also not optimal as cleaners were not protected and in my room did not replace depleted soap and shampoo. Untill Hampton Inn and Suites or Hilton deal with these problems I won't be staying in Hilton hotels.

The app didn't state the correct location of this hotel. When looking for a hotel near the Allen Event center in Dallas this location came up as being within .3 miles. It was not, it was 28.5 miles away, huge difference! Once I arrived to the location, the hotel staff manager or the Hilton 1800# rep couldn't help me. The digital key was already sent to my phone checking me in to their system although I had not stepped foot on their property. No way to override this therefore forcing my family to stay 1 hr away from our event center. Big inconvenience. On top of that, parking for the hotel is either valet $36 a day or public parking $10 a day owned by the city one block away. Not necessarily in a safe part of town at night and it was raining. No in/out privileges. Huge disappointment and will never stay here again.

During the reservation request I stated that my only desire was to have a conjoined room so that my two small children could sleep in the room connected yo my room. Upon arrival the front desk told me that wasn’t on the request. The pool was absolutely frigid, the water at the sink wouldn’t get hot, the water in the shower was scolding hot from the second you turned it on, the bathroom doors are absolutely useless in the suite. I could go on but I’m just getting more frustrated as I’m typing this. To think I was made to pay $300 for one night, two rooms with absolutely none of my needs being met is absurd. Hilton has left a very bad taste in my mouth.

This was my worst hotel experience ever in my life! Although it is not the hotel’s fault it is the area this hotel is located in. My husband and I stayed here from Friday - Monday. The hotel was very accommodating with letting us check in early and check out late. The negative experience we had was at night when we were trying to sleep. Every night there were cars drag racing on the Main Street the hotel is located on (Commerce Street), and you could hear them clearly from our hotel room (we were on the 4th floor) we met someone who was staying on the 17th floor and they told us the same thing that they could also hear the loud cars racing on the street in the middle of the night as well. To top it off, there are a lot of homeless people in this area that are sitting on the streets and again we were woken up in the middle of the night from a homeless man who was screaming at the top of his lungs and this occurred multiple times throughout the night. If you decide to stay here I suggest you bring ear plugs if you want to be able to sleep. Between the loud fast cars racing all night long and the homeless man yelling, this whole experience was terrible and maybe this hotel needs to invest in some sound proof windows.

We were very pleased with our stay here. The staff was most helpful and caring in every area; valet, entering the hotel, and at the desk. Not any issues, all were very gracious.

The hotel was clean, updated, and well taken care of. No concerns, very good value for the price with the exception of the valet cost. On the other hand that is what you get with a downtown property with limited parking, valet costs. It was expected and I knew it going in. They took good care of us. Thank you for your hospitality.

I am so glad I chose the Hampton Inn located at 1700 Commerce in downtown Dallas, Texas. My room was ready upon arrival even though I got there around noon. I was placed on the 9th floor originally, but the young lady at the desk moved me up to the 12th floor which I really appreciate. I had a king room w/ city views. I took advantage of the complimentary breakfast each morning & they had plenty to offer including, waffles, bagels, coffee, juices, eggs, sausage & cereal. The coffee was to die for in my opinion. Finally, the location was perhaps the best part of my stay. Centrally located downtown, there are many places to visit nearby & during the day Lyft averaged about $7-10 per ride for me. About $16-$18 Lyft airport ride to Love Field. I highly recommend visiting the rooftop bar at the Statler Hotel a couple doors down from the Hampton. Open to the public & amazing views & strong drinks! Overall I thoroughly enjoyed my stay & i will book again when in Dallas.

The hotel is beautiful and in a great location. It’s within walking distance of great restaurants and sites, like the eyeball. The valet was perfect and added onto the bill. It was very clean and you could tell that they were trying to make sure guests felt safe. My room was a King Jr. Suite and a great value with a pretty nice view. The bed was on the hard side though.
