My friend and I stayed at the ranch for 7 days. We rode once or twice a day and also got taken out to see the local attractions such as the Palo Duro canyon and the Cadillac ranch (by mule and chuckwagon - the only way to travel!) The horses were brilliant, so well behaved but not boring - forward...

We stayed at Bar H for one night last week. Upon our arrival, Frank came outside and greeted us and invited us in for lunch. The food was great! The hamburger at lunch was the biggest I've ever seen! The steak at dinner was seasoned well and was also a very large portion. About 5 pm, Frank took us horseback...

My wife and I stayed with Frank and Deedee for 6 nights, we got a great experience of day to day Texan life on the ranch. They looked after us very well, big home cooked meals with meat and salads. The best steaks we have ever eaten cooked on the grill outside! The accommodation is rustic but what we'd expect...

Bar H Ranch is an amazing ranch to visit. Miss Dede is the belle of Texas and her cooking is mighty fine too! Frank is a real gentleman. Jimmy took my husband on a hog hunt; there wasn't a dull moment. Those two could tell cowboy and hunting stories all night long. Our room was nice and tidy. We'll be...

Five of us went to Bar H for a hog hunt - one had been there about 5 years ago. Let me first say that this is an actual ranch so if you are expecting the Ritz Carlton you need to look for something else. I've read some of the bad reviews and realize that these are people that are...

We had a great cowboy stay on the ranch. Very rustic and down to earth but just what I would expect and need from a ranch stay. The cabins were great and the hospitality was truelly texan from start to finish. We got to do a couple of horse rides without issue or bureaucracy despite never having ridden before.

Frank and Dee Dee are the REAL DEAL! They are hard working, extremely hospital folks! My boys have gone every year for dove hunting and between their amazing food and Jimmy's fun guide service, it's always a memory in the making! Rooms are clean and basic. The food in town and at the dining hall is exceptional! There's no substitute...

This is a working ranch and the facilities here are basic. The ranch looks a little disorganised but it has an undeniable charm. When you come out of your cabin in the morning you are not sure whether you will encounter a Cotton Tail, an Armadillo, a Longhorn or even a Bison ! The most important thing for a ranch...
