For the past 2 decades we have stayed at this hotel. The property has changed owners that have really polished the grounds and updated the facilities. The location of this property is in a quaint small Texas town...with lots of history. The setting of the resort is absolutely gorgeous. The hotel is made up of several buildings to form a...

Great professional photos can make all the difference, as in this case. When I saw it I thought it was perfect for a relaxing weekend away on my Birthday. It showed a huge swimming pool with a beautiful view. The rooms looked great with comfortable beds. I went in my room and at first glance it looked great. The floor...

We stayed over a weekend as part of a groupon offer. This is a quaint hotel in small town USA. We rated it four stars in comparison to other small town hotels because it offers great views from the porch of the room; room was large and equipped with refrigerator and microwave; on site spa services and restaurant. You don't...

The photos shown for this hotel make you think of clean, full service place to stay. Our room was not clean. The continental breakfast was very lacking - what little offered left much to be desired. One bar of soap for sink and shower. Only one towel for the pool. I don't know what made this place a spa. They...

I understand that there aren't many hotel options in Castroville, but if you are accustomed to nice hotels... Head into San Antonio. This hotel (or is it a motel? The doors face out, is that answers your question) has a nice homey feel, but that's not something I look for in a hotel. The beds weren't super comfortable and the...

We were in town for a wedding and stayed, quite looking forward to the hotel as it was described. The reality was very different, however. Our room was not clean...it looked as though something had been spilled on the floor, the bedside table had coffee or Coke spill stains, the furniture clearly had dust on it. The duvet covers on...

We just left from staying here. First night a guy was working and he had his friends in the front laying on the couch in the lobby. Asked for towels and he got some but asked me to return them to him. Umm no I wanted to go to my room after the pool with them. After that we had...

Hotel Alsace is our usual hotel choice on the way to Leakey, Texas and the Frio River. The hotel is always a nice stay, quiet for the most part. We had the pool to ourselves the evening we stayed. Rooms are clean and all bedding is laundered daily even comforter...saw the laundry being done. Only down side this year was...

This is a lovely hotel. Spacious rooms, great pool, very nice landscaping and very friendly staff. A few problems though. Our room had a very musty smell which we attributed to the air conditioning not running. The room temp was 78 when we arrived. We turned on the a/c and went to the pool. By the time we came back...

The hotel is quite beautiful and sits on a beautiful hillside in the Hill Country in the small city of Castroville, Texas. We had found this hotel through a Groupon and were excited to have a new adventure. My husband is an artist and the Texas Hill country affords lots of beautiful scenery. We got a room with a beautiful...
