Detailed Reviews
I would have rated it a 5 but to call this a RV resort is a bit misleading. It is a jam packed trailerpark with at least a couple dozen sites for transients. If they eliminated every other site it would be more appealing, but I understand they're trying to maximize profits. The park was clean. We didn't use the bathroom or shower facilites but they appeared modern and clean. We did use the laundry and found it clean with efficient washers and dryers in a clean environment. Be prepared to use your smart phone for operation and payment -- no quarters necessary. It was trying learning experience for me to figure it out but I proudly did it. All stated amenities were excellent except the WiFi. It certainly wasn't fast, nor reliable. I was also disappointed that there was no cable tv. Then tenants we met were friendly. It was a weekend and we were were late upon arrival so we didn't have an opportunity to meet the management.

Hi Ruth, Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review. We're pleased to hear that you found everything, including the bath house and laundry facility clean and functional. Congratulations on mastering the laundry app; we know that it's a learning experience at first, but we hope you enjoyed the freedom from the limits of available quarters. We're glad you visited and hope your travels will lead you back to us again in the future.

Very nice, busy park. We stopped here in Dallas because our son was playing basketball over the weekend. Nice fenced in dog park. Friendly people. All amenities. Will definitely stop there again. Will recommend!

We had no choice but to stay here due to the distance to friends home. Located Northwest of Dallas, this place says they are a resort, but it's not. It's a combination Mobile home park, permanent campers and a FEW overnight RVers. And bring your shoehorn because it is TIGHT. The staff did not impress me and the park is loud and not all that clean. We have stayed in a lot of campgrounds and several resorts across the USA. This in NOT a resort. It is a one-nighter at most.

I had much higher expectations in Sun RV Resorts as we have recently visited 3 of their locations across the US. We had a 276 mile, Sunday arrival reservation and the office was closed! Nobody bothered to relay this. No welcome letter or instructions for us in the box. I called the #, left message.....nothing. Scoured my emails for a site # to place our home (travel trailer), found what looked to be a site # but didn’t dare drive ourselves into the one lane, jam-packed, go kart road if it wasn’t, so found it on foot and it was empty! Phew! Got in there and spent a good 15 minutes picking up a half a bag of butts, q tips, bottle caps and various old pieces of who knows ( photo) before we could sit outside on the severely cracked and uneven concrete pad and not feel completely surround by trash. The neighbors are cutting and banging on metal in the back of their truck, sparks flying (photo). Still no phone call back. Day 2: Officially checked in on Monday, with the employee casually telling me that no info was left for me because of a Mardi Gras party the night before. Oh, OK! The sign out front for a Super Bowl party is still up as is the freeze warning sign. Then I try to do laundry! So much time and energy spent trying to figure it out because the office doesn’t tell you! You buy a card in one building for $2, the machine only takes 5s & 10s. Had to go get cash out, to find all 4 washers in the closest laundry room full and stopped, then filthy and stinky (pet hair, wet underwear mildewing on top). We soon see that many here are long term if not permanent, a community mixed with travelers, a very non ideal place for those expecting a resort, a SUN resort! Next, we have the local teens walking through our site to get to a break in the wall behind us! Like a back door to this place, I could see a beaten path! The metal workshop at our neighbors continued throughout the week, I mentioned this to the desk clerk today, all the while the phone was ringing, he said as long as it’s quiet at 10 pm it’s okay, I also had to asked for laundry cash so I asked him if he wanted to answer the still-ringing phone first, he said “not really” and didn’t. I figured it did no good talk about the walk thrus or anything with this guy. The laziness and lack of pride in this place wreaks. It is undeserving of the name Sun RV Resort but certainly charges resort prices per night for the travelers. Also, no access to any actual lake, and it’s nearly under a major highway.

Worked good for us. The spots are small and the paid for Wi-Fi is kinda slow. But it’s close to work and no traffic and plenty of close by restaurants. The park seems pretty full but we’ll kept and clean. I’d gladly stay here again for a work trip.

I have a much longer review on Google, but, would never stay here again. The RVs are packed in like sardines. WiFi didn’t work at all during our two day stay, water pressure was bare minimum. It trickled in the sink and shower and we could barely flush. The pull-through that was reserved turned out to be a back in. Scott, in the office, was very pleasant upon check-in, however, nothing was done about all of the above, even though I did call. We wanted to purchase propane before we left, since there was a station and a sign saying “We sell propane.” Unfortunately, these brilliant people let the guy go on vacation with the combination to the propane station. This place isn’t cheap, either. I have stayed at much nicer parks for half the price. Nope, would not ever stay here again!

People are actively using meth in the bathrooms, not safe for kids. The bathrooms that don't smell like meth, smell like mold. No one works on site on the weekends, nothing gets cleaned and amenities are not accesible to the public. The "clubhouse" is not accessible to residents.

This was our second time using this RV park. It is just outside of Dallas TX so traffic is not a problem. It is a quite resort with a nice lounge and weight room. The swimming pool is regular size like you see behind someones house. It has a nice dog park where you can let them run free. It also has a wash station to clean up you dog from small to large.

I'm beyond impressed with this resort. I called many other places and chose this one after speaking to the staff. Trey, Scott and Faye made sure everything was setup upon arrival. I first spoke to Faye who made sure there would be no hiccups once we arrived. I recommend this location to anyone who is interested. Full facility with clean common grounds, good neighbors and clean amenities. A+
