I had booked a junior suite with the Tabiano castle hotel as a surprise for my wife's birthday and all I can say is that it's become a dreamweekend we'll never forget. First of all, staff were incredibly friendly and upon arrival they offered us their largest senior suite because of the "special occasion". This suite's situated in the old... More

We stayed for 3 nights in October and loved Tabiano castello. The rooms have all been lovingly restored from the old village around the castle and are all unique and a bit quirky. This place has so much charm and the service and hospitality was great. We were visiting for our wedding anniversary and were upgraded to a suite which... More

The location just below the castle is amazing, rooms have charm and are well appointed with nice showers . We were upgraded to a junior suite which was excellent, we had dinner at the restaurant which was one of the best meals we had on our trip.

If you are looking for an experience, not just a hotel, you have found the place. This "hotel" is actually remodeled, re-purposed buildings on the grounds of a 1000 year old castle. The buildings are now hotel rooms, a restaurant, meeting/conference space, etc. The castle and its "village" is atop a hill in the hilly countryside of northern Italy. The... More

Stayed two nights on a cycling trip. A bit of a climb to get to the hotel and my room was on the top floor - but it was worth it! Very old Castle, with certain areas renovated. Can be confusing with lots of passages and different sections of the hotel. The room was comfortable if a bit spartan. Bathroom... More

This hotel has location (situated in rolling hills in the countryside) as its key asset. The view from our room on the third floor was superb. The ambience and history of the castle / hotel added to the overall experience. However, our room proper felt somewhat 'contrived' in terms of its design. It had the usual exposed beams and timbers.... More

Booked online for 1 night stay, just passing by Parma region, did not bother to contact the proprietors, ask any questions or request anything in advance, etc., just believed the web photos and descriptions, so what we got was something like a 2-star hostel experience. No a la carte restaurant, in fact no real restaurant at all, no bar or... More

Dear Sir, Thank you for taking the time to review our property. We truly value the opinions of our customers and we are sorry that we did not meet your expectations. I was disappointed to learn of the shortcomings you experienced and I tried my best to assist you. There are two restaurants, the "Caseificio di Tabiano", an original parmesan... More

I have been in the Hotel for a wedding. The location is great, on top of the hill, just under a 1,000 years old castle. Rooms are rustic but spacious, cleaned and with furniture in elegant rustic/ancient style. Breakfast are great, made with fresh vegetables from the orchard and garden and local ingredients (but selection is somewhat limited for this... More

The rooms are more rustic than elegant, and the A/C works overtime to little effect, but..... Friends (who ended up cancelling due to illness) complained about staying only in cities and towns, so I discovered this "off the beaten path" location. On the drive up the remaining three couples learned just how far off the path this is, and we... More

We were in Tabiano Castello for a wedding. It's beautifully situated on top of a quiet hill. It's well located for day trips around the region. The rooms are really clean and comfortable. Go for the ones with the view of the countryside. The staff are so friendly, accommodating and effective. And the food and wine at the restaurants is... More
