I was there to relax and read. Had a private yoga class on my deck and it was magical at sunset with the sounds of birds and the river. It gets cool at night so ask for the duvet. You need to make reservations to eat at the small Guatemalan style dining venue they have. A most is the organic...

If you are looking to get away from it all, this is a great choice. Tucked away from the tourists and scene of the coast, this small, exclusive resort is about 3 hours drive inland in the Mountain pine Ridge Reserve, about an hour from the Ecuador border. It is a pristine and well-appointed destination literally in the middle of...

Blancaneaux was amazing. It completely exceeded all of our expectations. Yes, the accommodations were lovely and the food and wine was delicious, but what set Blancaneaux apart from other experiences was the staff. Everything was so personalized and everyone was so thoughtful. And none of the service was overbearing or forced. It felt like we were at our own private...

Not sure I want to tell everyone about this extraordinary get away tucked in the Pine Ridge Forest in Belize. It's nothing short of amazing! Francis Ford Coppola spared no expense and really provides a first class experience to all visitors to this mountain retreat. Cottages offer thatched room, view of river with balcony. Our room had a private pool....

This was our 2nd stop in Belize, travelling from north to south. Blancaneaux was highly recommended so we booked. We arrived by small private plane and the landing strip was alongside the resort. Loved the ease of location. They take your luggage by horsedrawn carriage and i loved this too. Staff friendly and professional. Great check-in. Our double room was...

Just returned from this Coppola resort where I attended for the Mountains and Beaches combination. Blancaneaux is in the mountainous part of Belize. While there, I attended the Frios cave, the Frios pools, the Caracol Mayan site, and the ATM cave. Eddie, one of Blancaneaux' full time guides explained Caracol's history, the Mayan civilization as well as the showing us...

Blancaneaux is a romantic hideaway in the Mountain Pine Ridge Reserve. This place is perfect for newlyweds or, like us celebrating a big anniversary, There are only about 20 Villas, private, spotless and beautiful! We had a luxury cabana #12 with an outdoor shower and a plunge pool (refreshingly cool). The bathroom is huge with double sinks and a large...

Exceptional resort. We loved everything about the resort. 5 stars is not enough. The staff at the resort, from the housekeepers to the waiters at the restaurant were all top notch. The surrounding area is beautiful. The day trips were worth the time and the money. We stayed in cabana #2. The sounds of the running river were amazing. We...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
In the early 1980s, Francis Ford Coppola visited Belize, immediately fell in love with the location, and purchased the abandoned Blancaneaux Lodge. For more than a decade the resort was used as a family retreat before Francis opened his tropical paradise to the public in 1993. Tucked away in a pocket of the Maya Mountains, Blancaneaux Lodge is a 20-room luxury resort where waterfalls tumble into turquoise pools above the jungle canopy. Its remote mountain setting makes it a perfect place to relax, rejuvenate and enjoy life’s simple pleasures. ... more   less
