Blancaneaux is a beautiful retreat into the mountains of Belize. Between the charming villas scattered above the Privassion Creek to the warm hospitality of the staff, you will find yourself in small slice of heaven. You can relax in your hammock, swinging over your lanai overlooking the creek, or get a bit more adventurous and hike to the Big Rock...

My husband and I visited Blancaneaux at the beginning of February with two other couples. From the moment we arrived, everyone was so kind and helpful. We were greeted upon check-in with a fabulous drink called a jaguar juice. I could kick myself for not asking what was in it before I left the lodge. Our group went horseback riding...

Thank you very much for taking the time out for posting your feebback- we would happily share with you our recipe for the Jaguar juice. The coconut sweets in the rooms are called "Tabletas", these were treats we got as kids.

We were staying at a nearby resort and decided to check out Blancaneaux for dinner. So glad we did! An excellent and relaxing location, good service and delicious food were all on offer. The grounds were very beautiful as well. If we are in the area again we will definitely consider staying in the lodge.

My family and I had such an amazing time in the Francis Ford Coppola Villa (Villa #7) at Blancaneaux Lodge. So much so that I am writing this review for the 4th time because my internet keeps crashing and not saving my draft! Our only regret is that we didn't stay longer and didn't have a chance to check out...

our room was enormous. It had a thatched roof, an outdoor shower in a garden, a private pool and a beautiful dark green tiled bathroom. The dining areas were magnificent and comfortable, and the staff was very accommodating to all needs.

My husband and I stopped for lunch at the Blancaneaux Lodge (we already had accommodations elsewhere) and had a delicious meal with lovely views of the pool and grounds, but I would never stay there. Why? Because of the long, rough stone stairway to the dining room with no hand rail. I am not comfortable on stairs without a rail,...

Thank you for stopping by and for the great review of our food- I must say thought that we do have rails where it's necessary.

Wonderful trip. Begin with Becky Lamb Travel Agency in Atlanta. She partners with Rico Tours. Everything worked like clock work and was perfect. After going through immigration our friendly driver from the lodge was waiting for us with legible sign with our names. He allowed us to stop at will on the drive to the lodge and was very knowledgeable...

Recently I was exploring the Mountain Pine Ridge with my girlfriend and decided to stop in and see the famous Blancaneaux Lodge. We showed up at dusk, and happy hour :), and the mood was exquisite. The property was phenomenally beautiful and the happy hour drinks and snacks were top shelf. We had the bruschetta and it was just as...

Found this place on our way back from Caracol Mayan Ruins and stopped for lunch. The place is beautiful. Nice resort oasis in the middle of the jungle. We didn't stay as we already had accommodation but wish we did. The food was the best we have eaten in Belize.

Our family (with kids aged 9, 11 and 13) spent three nights at Blancaneaux Lodge as part of a combined trip with a stay at Coppola's Turtle Inn. We loved everything about it. The transfers were smooth and comfortable, the villa was spectacular, the food was excellent, the scenery stunning, the activities we chose (unguided hike to Big Rock Falls,...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
In the early 1980s, Francis Ford Coppola visited Belize, immediately fell in love with the location, and purchased the abandoned Blancaneaux Lodge. For more than a decade the resort was used as a family retreat before Francis opened his tropical paradise to the public in 1993. Tucked away in a pocket of the Maya Mountains, Blancaneaux Lodge is a 20-room luxury resort where waterfalls tumble into turquoise pools above the jungle canopy. Its remote mountain setting makes it a perfect place to relax, rejuvenate and enjoy life’s simple pleasures. ... more   less
