We stayed there for one night. The room was large enough to fit 3 people comfortable. The hosts were extremely nice however the room was a little musty or moldy. I guess the wood and the extremely humid outdoor creates this. Breakfast was great! Its about 10 minutes from Lynchburg. There is no parking lot (you park around the corner),...

We couldn't have been more pleased with our stay for our Anniversary trip! This Bed and Breakfast is truly unique. Secluded, rustic, quaint, are just a few words to describe it! The falls outside are so BEAUTIFUL and PEACEFUL! The hosts, John and Mildred (and Snickers), are the best you could ask for! So friendly and accommodating! We can't wait...

Tripadvisor lead us to Ledford Mill. I wanted a special place to celebrate my fiancé's 40th birthday. We wanted to go to Lynchburg and a couple other places that are in the area. Ledford was wonderful!!!! Such a romantic and peaceful location. We had the falls room. At night, we could hear the waterfalls and it lulled us to sleep....

The Ledford Mill B&B was wonderful! A very peaceful location, with clean rooms, comfy beds and yummy breakfast! John and Mildred are wonderful innkeepers and are very knowledagble of the area. Whatever you to want to do, they can guide you! A great location for waterfall hunting and visiting Jack Daniels and George Dickel distillaries. The B&B is living history!...

A wonderful rustic mill beside a waterfall gives a perfect place to relax. The B&B is serene with only a small tv in rooms for watching videos, no internet, and no cell phone reception. Breakfast was casual while we were there but the company exceptional. Close restaurants down the road and Lynchburg a great day trip. Planning a return when...

I don't know where to start! We have been to many 4/5 star hotels and B & B's and this place was by fair the best ever - such a hidden jewel, a piece of paradise - I didn't want to leave and already planning our return! John and Mildred are special people and this is a special place. Words...

Spent Labor Day weekend with John and Mildred at the Mill, very enjoyable and relaxing time, We enjoyed the historical aspect of the mill, but most enjoyed the Spear's story as how they came to own it..."I'll take it... How much is it..." said John. Hope to return soon.

We are so thankful that John and Mildred Spear decided to keep Ledford Mill as a b&b when they purchased it. This was our first time visiting and we can't wait to go back. We stayed in the Falls room, which is the most romantic, and we had the entire mill to ourselves since it was a week day! It...

My wife and I are annual fans of the local phenomonon known as the Tennessee Walking Horse Celebration. Someone recommended several years ago that we try the Ledford Mill. Fearing there would be no vacancy, I tried and was able to get a room. We have stayed there every year since. We stay in the "falls" room. The accomodations are...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Voted "most rustic" B&B in North America. A scenic wonder, the 1884 Gristmill, listed on the National Register of Historic Places, and the Tennessee Heritage Trail, offers three unique rooms(each w/private bath) within the old "factory" setting. The Falls and Creek Rooms open onto the grounds surrounding the waterfalls and Shipman's Creek. The Loft is a majestic high-ceiling apartment at the top of the mill complete with kitchenette and a balcony view of the woods, creek and falls. Early 1900's furnishings, many for sale, are highlighted within the Mill. Friendly, resident cat welcomes guests. Located in a quiet country setting but close to many local restaurants and attractions including Jack Daniel's Distillery. Advanced reservations recommended. ... more   less
