This was my first time at Blackberry Farm. Everything that I experienced there was top-notch and refreshingly low-key. I especially appreciated the young staff. Some complained on this site that the staff is inexperienced; I never was made aware of that fact but I was mindful of other staff qualities: their kindness, sincerity, decency, and humanity. The service was never...

We checked into our cottage and instantly fell in love. We had a golf cart to cruise so we drove around and checked the place out. So beautiful here with rolling hills, horses, pool, beautiful sunsets. You can be so isolated here, fantastic little areas to chill in, hammocks, streams, historic buildings. Our bed was comfortable and room quiet. Our...

We stayed for four days at Blackberry Farm to celebrate a milestone anniversary. Oh my!! If you can't be happy at Blackberry, you can't be happy anywhere. The service was superb from check-in to housekeeping to waitstaff and SUV drivers---nothing was overlooked. And every single person was truly nice which is not something you find in most resorts. The food...

Blackberry Farm is a beautiful resort with breath-taking grounds and fun family activities. It is ALMOST a magical place. But for the price, the service needs to be a lot better. This hotel is more expensive than any Four Seasons in the world but the service is more like a Holiday Inn. The staff (and there are so many of...

Just returned from Labor Day Weekend at Blackberry Farm; 8 adults, 3 small children, occupying the 3 Hill Cottages. The Farm is a magnificent, pastoral, outstandingly maintained, smokey mountains TN farm resort. Numerous activities offered, fine and casual dining included, and a small army of friendly staff. However, the friendly and seemingly helpful staff is woefully undertrained. They have great...

First of all, it's not hard to get to, but it is difficult to get back to Knoxville over those dark, curvy roads after your gang of four has polished off two really good and reasonably priced bottles of wine. We wisely hired a driver and really needed him for the return trip. The barn is beautiful, and serene. The...

I stayed at Blackberry Farm with my family/extended family for two nights in mid-August for the Emmylou and Friends concert weekend. While the concerts were fabulous, this property is not worth the money for several reasons - 1) the staff is under-trained and the service is nowhere near the caliber of a 5* property. They got more things wrong than...

We have been enjoying our trips to Blackberry Farm for over a decade. According to our concierge, this was our 16th visit. I am not sure, as I do not really count, but I know that we have done most of their culinary/vinous events, and some more than once. However many it is, it is never enough.. Over the years,...

We had a fabulous 'babymoon' here! Everything was perfect- the employees welcome you, know your name, and are more than willing to help. I don't think this place knows the word, "NO". With that being said, some of the highlights of our trip and must-dos: -Dinner afield at Yallarhammer. It was amazing. We ordered a pimento cheese burger, warm cookies...

I was a solo traveler going to Blackberry which is very expensive for one person seeing how you are paying for all your meals (which is for two people). However the staff were always helpful and friendly to me and I never waited to eat and food was out of this world. Management was extremely nice and helpful. I would...
