First off had to have maintenance come to cabin TWICE to fix TV because paying over $1000 for not even full 48 hours we didn’t need to have working TV, they had gas turned off to bed room fireplace and we were not allowed to Use indoor fireplace. Even though not warm enough for pool to be open couldn’t enjoy a fire on the cool evenings we had! Cabin did not match pictures on line.. out dated appliances, out dated bedding and upstairs so dusty our allergies were killing us! BUT FINAL PUSH OVER THE EDGE almost 24 hours after our check out.. 8:41 this morning, check out at 10:00am yesterday morning they send me an email saying we were being charged for damages WE DID NOT DO! They have NOT RESPONDED TO MY RETURN EMAILS OR MY CALLS TO TRY TO CLEAR UP THE PROBLEM! They are trying to say that we broke the pool table and from the pool table falling it messed up the floor!! But it took almost 24 hours to notify me!! I should’ve been contacted immediately!! I did final sweep on cabin to make sure nothing was left, I did not leave any mess, washed the dishes and placed all dirty towels in shower for easy pick up and swept the floors!!!! Pool table was on all 4 when I put the cover on it!! I will never NEVER stay or allow anyone I know stay at this place.. I’m fairly local to the cabin area so I will tell EVERYONE I KNOW OF THE SCAM THIS PLACE HAS GOING ON!! As if $1000 wasn’t a bad enough hit for less than 24 HOURS! Plus the cleaning fee that had terrible cleaning!! They stick me with $500 damage fee!! Not going down without a fight over this!!! Like

We stayed here in January and April of this year and had 2 different experiences with the cabins themselves. The one constant is the breathtaking views of the forests and mountain ranges here. They are priceless and we also loved that the cabins are in a gated area. For cabins - for our Jan. trip..... pure perfection! We fell in love with the quaint, rustic cabin that had everything we dreamed of! We're going back in December and will probably stick with this cabin for the future! (Keeping the cabin name/# to myself for selfish reason!) With our most recent cabin (#30- Angel's View, in April), the cabin was not accurately described and/or things didn't work, like 3 of the 4 TV's (with 4 teenagers, we wanted this feature for the evenings!), missing light bulbs, no sheets/bedding for the pullout bed, or the jets on one of the tubs. We had to flip our mattress because we rolled into the center of it, due to the excessive wear. We did address these issues with customer service and they tried to help with what they could, but some items they said had to be addressed with the "owner." So.... do we still love it here? Yes, because our first experience was so great. Had I based my review solely on the most recent visit, however, probably not.

My family and I stayed at the Whispering Pines Cabin from 12/23/2020-12/27/2020. Let me start off by saying that the only reason I am giving this two starts is because of the comfort of the cabin and the scenery. Everything went well until the evening of December 24th. We were having our Christmas Eve dinner when the light went out around 7:00pm. It was snowing and the storm took down the power. As everyone who is reading this can assume, no power = no heat. While I understand that the staff/management cannot control what happens with the power, they can be prepared for emergencies such as this. The cabin started getting very cold and quick. We had a fireplace, but no wood or starter to burn a fire to keep warm. I called their emergency number 6 times during the night and no one from management called me back. My family, including my two year old daughter, slept in 40 below degree temperature inside the cabin. Because of the snow, we couldn’t just pick up and leave. We were snowed in and this cabin is on an extremely steep hill. I heard some people riding snow mobiles, which I assumed were staff, so I went outside and flagged one of them down and asked if they had wood. The gentleman said he didn’t have any wood and quote “I do not work here, I just stay here”. In the morning I called their emergency number two more times and when I finally get a phone call, all I was told is that there was nothing they could do until the roads are clear (which by that point they were). When I asked the person why the cabin did not have any emergency equipment, all she said was “I am sorry”. Well, sorry doesn’t cut it when you are freezing. She also asked me if I had called 911. WHAT??? The services provided by 911 are to be used in the event of a medical emergency. I cannot believe she advised this. And LET ME TELL YOU SOMETHING. This cannot be the first time this has happened, where the power has gone out in a snow storm, so I do not understand why the cabin does not have an emergency stock pile of wood for their guests to keep warm. I do not understand why they did not have an emergency kit with something to use for light. (Thank goodness I had a flashlight in my car). Above all else, why have an emergency contact line, when no one is ever going to respond to you? In the morning, we spoke to our neighbors in the cabin above us. They told us they had also spent a cold night in the cabin with an elderly gentleman with a heart condition and breathing machine (which he was unable to use all night) and that the people on snow mobiles were actually an emergency team hired by the people who manage the cabin. If that is the case, why weren’t all cabins affected by the power outage brought wood by the people riding the snow mobiles? That should have been done as soon as the power went out or after they finished helping people who drove out in the snow and got stuck. Long story short, we will never ever stay here again, and if you decide to do so, make sure you have everything you need for a power outage, because the management doesn’t give one crap about the people staying there. You are on your own.

Cute and comfy place to relax and enjoy the mountains and nature. The cabins are clean and comfy. Love that each place has its own Fire pit, grill, and Jacuzzi. It’s a great place to get away either as a couple, with friends or with your family! Great place!

“Honeymoon Sweet” #63 was beautiful, peaceful and relaxing! The views from the porch are amazing...great place for morning coffee or an evening just watching and listening to nature. Drew assisted us with reservations through Natural Retreats and getting our complimentary passes for activities. A+ service from him!
