Having been to Great Wolf Lodge, we were expecting a similar quality family fun experience at Wilderness at the Smokies, which fell short of expectations in almost every category. Specifically: 1) Indoor water park is smaller and has fewer attractions than GWL in Charlotte. It fills to uncomfortable levels on a holiday weekend (we traveled MLK weekend). 2) While room...

My husband and I decided on an impromptu weekend getaway with out the kids and decided on the Wilderness. The resort itself is very nice. We stayed at the Stone Lodge in a king room. The room is very spacious with a very comfortable bed. Waterpark was fun. Parking was easy. The location of the resort is spot on for...

Awesome place to visit. The kids in both families had a blast. Friendly staff and very accommodating while we were there. This was our second time. Much cheaper than The Great Wolf Lodge for Exactly the same thing. However, the one complaint I do have is that that there was a private party going on there on Saturday night that...

I can't say enough good things about this place. We had 10 people in a three bedroom suite. The kids loved the water park. Grab a pass for the arcade for $25-30 and let the kids go climb the tree tops. Well worth the extra money. We liked it so much that we will probably come back this summer and...

I've never heard of Wilderness at the Smokies, but my boyfriend's family lives in Knoxville and told us to take my 2 year old twins. I'm so glad we did!!! It was great!! The place was well kept and pretty clean. The indoor water park was sectioned off, so my tiny tots had a section all to themselves and equipped...

We loved all the amenities and waterpark. We went to the waterpark on Friday and didn't have to wait in line for very long. Went back on Saturday night after a day in the Smokies and was super crowded, apparently there was a cheer competition so there were no chairs available, hot tub was full and had to wait for...

We are a family of four (2 small children) and I opted for the "Bunk Suite" in the main building that is connected to the indoor water park. We went on a snowy weekend in January and that turned out to be the perfect time - the water park was not crowded and even the flow rider had a short...

This place is great any time of year and any type of weather. Shuttle buses are available between the buildings, restaurants are on site and plenty to do. If you take into consideration the room includes the water parks its a good value.

Me, my husband, our 5 year old son and my parents stayed in a suite (3 connected rooms) in the main building the week before Christmas. The rooms were very nice with lots of sleeping space. Each had a mini stove top, microwave, and mini fridge. There was a "fireplace" in the middle room, but I'm not sure why. It...

This resort met our expectations and then some!! We decided to stay here on our way up to Gatlinburg to try it out. We stayed in the Stone Hill resort and was a bit skeptical after reading some of the reviews of it being dark and not well lit. It was perfect for us and I found it to be...
