Stayed in the Rose room. Very nice and spacious. The country breakfast served was simply delicious. After comparing it to other breakfasts we had in different B&B's during our week long travel along the Appalachian Trail, theirs was simply the best. Hands down! We even had the bonus of being Ann's guinea pigs for her pumpkin pancakes. Of course they...

My husband and I stayed at the Roan Mountain Bed & Breakfast, and couldn't have had a more enjoyable time! Ann and Steve were exceptionally nice and helpful hosts. Our room, the Rose Room, is lovely and contains several family mementos that create a very special environment. It is quite spacious and the bed, very comfortable. Our full breakfasts were...

We stayed at Roan Mountain Bed and Breakfast over the Memorial Day Holiday. We were originally planning to camp, but I waited too long and all the reservable campsites were full. So we opted to stay here and had a wonderful stay. It's a great location right at the base of Roan Mountain, with easy access to Carver's Gap, the...

Usually is at 8 AM, huge variety of dishes, all you can eat. Memorable! We stayed in the hostel barn and it has everything needed. Extremely hard to find light switch when doing one load laundry at $5 for washer, dryer & Tide soap, so take flashlight. Need to be nimble to sleep in the 4 twin beds in loft...

This bed and breakfast felt just as comfortable as being at home due to the owners, Ann and Steve! The kindest and most thoughtful people you could ever meet. Ann picked up my husband off of the AT since I had not arrived yet. Allowed us to check in way earlier than normal check in time. All of the comforts...

Steve and Ann were great hosts. It was cold and snowy outside when we got there in the afternoon, and had a hot cup of tea. Inside was warm and comfortable. Accommodations were comfortable(Rose and Govenors rooms), breakfast was excellent. Ann had good advice on local dining and attractions.

Hidden in one of the most interesting valleys of the Appalachian Mountains, it is the perfect place for nature-lovers. The owner were super nice and prepared for us a delightful breakfast. Ask them to give you directions for Jarrett Apple Orchard, a "must see".

Ive been hiking the Appalachian Trail for over a month now. Every four days (or so), Ill resupply and spend the night in a hotel, motel, hostel or Bed and Breakfast. Some experiences have been outright dissapointing, most have been underwhelming with me saying to myself that I should have slept in my hammock in the woods. That was not...
