I've stayed at SB twice for 5 days each. The price is right and it meets your needs (bed, bath, towels, sheets, desk, closet) with no real extras. But you're not paying for extras. The location is convenient to a lot of neat restaurants and Vanderbilt. I'll stay again.

Walking distance to Vanderbilt University, and Music Row. The area has too mny bars and restaurants to count (The Tavern, Hattie B's, ReBar). Please note that these are no frills shared bathroom accommodations. That being said, best deal and find in the city. Wouldn't stay anywhere else. It also offers free parking.

Why didn't I heed the advice of another reviewer and bring ear plugs??? You need them. If you stay on the odd numbered rooms at the Cadwallader dorm the air compressor shakes you awake with a booming noise. On the even side you can hear the heliocopters and sirens. With ear plugs there were no problems. This is a basic...

We arrived here after 3 nights in a rather dodgy motel in Memphis and were quite apprehensive about what was waiting for us in Nashville. Well we could not have been more pleased. First of all the setting so peaceful and calming even though it is very close to the bustling heart of Nashville. The surrounding neighbourhood is extremely safe...

As mentioned in other reviews, these are VERY BASIC rooms with a twin bed, a desk and a chair. You share a bathroom with one other room. I wouldn't mind basic so much if things were at least clean. There were random hairs all over the bathroom. I don't know when the bathroom floor was cleaned and I don't think...

Attended a 3 day conference at Scarrit Bennet Center and stayed in one of their dorn type rooms. For the value and convenience it wasn't bad. The sheets and room were clean, the bath towels were thick and not scratchy which is a plus.

My friends are were on a small road trip through Nashville and wanted somewhere cheaper to stay at but also as close to the music/bar scene as possible while being safe and this the perfect find! We personally aren't picky fancy amenities and were not in the room much, but the 3 of us found the rooms for rent great...

I'll go over the weird or off things first: When I got there in the morning obviously the rooms aren't ready so I wanted to leave my luggage before check-in time. Their idea of a luggage space is the hallway, not locked in a room somewhere. I am not really sure if that is more or less safe (could be...

I love the grounds of Scarritt-Bennett Center! I was housed in one of the more spartan rooms but even then it was clean and relatively comfortable. It was nice to have a bathroom with a tub and I didn't mind sharing since I knew the person in the room next to me. One disadvantage was that my room was facing...

If you're looking for a reasonably priced, basic room in a tranquil setting this is your place. The neon lights & hubbub of downtown are only 10-12 min away and easily reached by car or public transportation. A "starving musician" friend had an audition in the Nashville area so we chose to stay for a few days and make it...
