Average, average! Breakfast was supposed to be served at 8:00am, it was more like 8:40, despite the fact that we had plans for the day. Staff were so negative and unfriendly. my husband said hello to one of them and her response was a deadpan 'hi'. No I'm sorry for the late breakfast or such. The shared bathrooms were diabolical...

After researching hotels online we came up with a classic! The ensuite room was spacious and had a good view out to the trees. Close to Sorrento back beach and a 10 minute jaunt into town. We managed a peaceful sleep in this quirky guesthouse. Great breakfast with plenty of options. The only quip's are that we had to ask...

Well ,where do I start .From the outside we thought it would be fantastic ,paid the extra $130 for an ensuite to our room ,the room and ensuite were no worries but I guess listening to the floorboards creek outside our room the windows rattle Made sleeping fairly hard but the icing on the cake was the guy who starting...

We love staying at the Whitehall and can't recommend it highly enough. We've been regular visitors for the past year and plan to go back as often as we can. It's a beautiful place with charm, character and a great history. We love relaxing on the wonderful balcony watching the sun go down over Sorrento, listening to the waves crash...

Just stayed at the Whitehall guesthouse. The room was simple as expected but did not even have a tele. Room was freezing, could not get the heater to work either. The bed was terrible - like a rock, I have slept on more comfortable beds in a hostel. The walls are also not sound proof. You can hear everything! People...

This was the only place we could find last minute accomodation in Sorrento, so gladly booked it. Did not have much expectations, so were not disappointed at all. Pros: Location is perfect, the bathrooms for most rooms are shared but really clean and tidy. The morning breakfast is simple yet very filling. The view from the balcony is quite good....

We chose to stay at Whitehall due to location. 300m to back-beach and 350 to town/shops. This Fawlty Towers like accommodation was built in 1904 and has 31 rooms, some with ensuites, 3 star guesthouse that provides continental breakfast (B & B) earliest time 8.30am. Booked a budget room with Wotif $130, room number 15 was ok for 1 night...

My husband and I stayed for two nights as a means to explore this part of the world and also complete the Portsea Twilight event in the first week of January. The place is large and imposing and whilst it looks as though it may have once been a grand guesthouse, to us it was almost like a rundown guesthouse/hostel....

My family (2A+2C) stayed for one night in January 2014. When I was a kid my parents brought me here for our summer holiday every year for about 10 years. Back then it was a bustling Guesthouse, always full and with lost going on; cricket in the carpark, tennis matches, three meals a day, pool and table tennis a-plenty. I...

This lovely old building is a curious type of accommodation: it seems too good to be a basic lodging house, but not well enough presented to be luxury accommodation. Its a step up from a motel and more like staying in a grand old country town pub that is being gradually updated. The public rooms on the ground floor are...
