This motel consists of converted homestead in spacious surroundings. The room was adequate with reasonable bed, en-suite bathroom, television, wifi and toaster, etc. A basic breakfast was available for $8 consisting of cereal, bread for toast with butter and spreads (jam, marmalade, etc). We bought extra milk. The basic accommodation was compensated by the quaint historic building and friendly owner,...

Having survived a drive through the Great Alpine Road in heavy fog, we welcomed the opportunity to relax and unwind. Admittedly the views along the way were magnificent. This is a quaint little motel in the foothills of the Victorian Alps, where goldminers had their heyday. The motel we stayed at was an old homestead which had been relocated and...

Spent one night here and to be truthful it had it's good points and a few not so good. Very charming . Old settlers house up-dated and converted into motel style rooms but still keeping old world charm. Lovely setting on main street looking onto adjacent park and walk track. Had tea/coffee making. Toaster etc. Sink and microwave however were...

Four mates, four motorcycles, corners and curves everywhere. Snug as a Bug gave us a warm, spacious place to stop for the night. A friendly welcome, warm fire already burning in the lounge, four separate bedrooms and bathrooms allowed us to have our own space combined with a wonderful warm lounge and fire. Walk across the road to the pub,...

Florence from Snug as a Bug. (Which I'm Hoping I spelt her name correctly) is an absolute legend. I have stayed with her many times over the past four years when I first started Skiing in Mt Hotham, I wouldn't stay anywhere else. Very comfortable place to sit (especially when the fire is roaring.). On many occasions when it was...

The motel rooms are actually in an old house at the back of the property. We found the room to be adequate although the bathroom was very 'snug'. Some kitchen amenities on verandah. Probably would not stay there again.

After 9 hours travelling the magnificent mountains and valleys of the Victorian High Country we really were weary travellers when we arrived in Omeo for our overnight stay. When we arrived at the Snug as a Bug Motel we were greeted with a warm welcome and a big smile. The hostess showed our party of 8 to the downstairs area...

Tastefully furnished room, comfortable bed with crisp fresh linen, immaculately clean ensuite, delightful living area and extremely well set up kitchen dining area with everything provided. Intended to stay only one night passing through but fell in love with Omeo and especially Snug as a Bug so within an hour of arriving decided to extend my stay for an extra...

Quirky motel with an interesting history situated in heritage buildings. Nice touch with the common kitchen and sitting room and grateful for the heaters and electric blankets as it was a cold weekend! Spotlessly clean and a friendly, helpful owner. Bit on the pricey side which is the only reason holding back four stars

What a wonderful experience to stay in part of the old relocated farmhouse with verandah all around. It was all so in keeping with Omeo and its remoteness. Thank you to the owners who have been so creative with their ideas for their guests enjoyment. The pub was directly opposite which had great meals. Plenty of good walks around town...
