Booked this motel as it was the closest we could get to Bright over the Easter weekend. Upon check in we were not told about breakfast options available at the motel however it is an easy walk into town and various options are available. The room that we had was at the back so there was no road noise. The...

We had the spa room and it was quiet a large and comfortable room. Had all the basics. The first thing I noticed was how fresh the room smelt. It was a bit noisy being a Saturday night. Had to laugh when checking in they told me I had spa room so I said ok then she asked if it...

We were booked into this motel last Saturday night. On arrival we were met with a very surly woman at reception. This motel was probably modern 40 years ago but has had no improvements since. On entering the room we noticed a very strong musty smell which stayed with us the whole time. The TV is the size of a...

We cancelled our booking with the Golden Leaf motel more than 48 hours in advance. The owners told us that as far as they were concerned, we gave enough notice, but that we'd have to confirm it with Booking.com. Booking.com agreed, so we cancelled. We weren't happy to later find on our bank statement that one night's accommodation had been...

Very friendly and very clean family owned motel at reasonable rates. Typical decor for a standard motel. Electric blankets as well as spilt system air conditioning. The owner and staff were all very polite and helpful. Service was excellent

Basic country motel which was easy walking distance to town. Motel shower lacked water pressure and it was quite noisy on the night we stayed due to the dog show being held at the Sportsground (animals were outside the motel rooms scratching in their trailers). The room was clean and comfortable though no Wi-Fi. Okay for short stay.

The Golden Leaf Motel can be best described as just another country motel. Nothing to write home about, clean and tidy, breakfast was poor so I suggest eat in town. Motel is located approx. 1 km from town so easy walk. Wifi was poor as is in most country towns, unable to get signal . Host didn't show a lot...

Turned up after midnight and had difficulty finding the motel as all lights were off at the road side and there were no street lights. Luckily we had seen the motel on a previous visit to the town so knew roughly where to look for it. The owners said the next morning that the signs are turned off at midnight,...

Stayed here on our way up to Mt Hotham. The beds were fresh, clean and comfy however the bathroom was very basic. Only one face cloth between 3 people, one small towel each with no spares and industrial soap dispenser in the shower. Table, chairs and toaster but no microwave or cutlery. Too expensive for such basic facilities. No WiFi

We decided to take some friends to the high country for the long weekend. Booked over the phone, The rooms were comfortable and reasonably clean, (a bit of dust on shelves and chairs) The rooms have just been renovated, but the knobs are still falling off the tap handles and the washers need changing in the bathroom, and the mirror...
