Stayed at Adobe mudbrick flats still owned by Peter n Margaret Kurz. They have sold a number of the original flats Peter built so other owners run them usually through websites. We booked penthouse n discovered a lovely two storey quirky flat w amazing glass bottles embedded in mud walls which glowed w colours at sunrise. Arrived midnight, woke next...

Thank you for such a lovely compliment that has justified my love of Mallacoota, Adobe (Mudbrick) building and an overarching awareness of our wonderful wild but trusting animals. I must admit I enjoyed our guests and can't imagine living without this stimulating input from the wide, outside world. My lovely Margaret has a weak streak of not allowing to be...

The honeymoon villa is a quirky, mud brick, one bedroom, self contained haven with a great vibe. We stayed for 2 nights and were so relaxed we didn't want to leave. It has fruit trees and native bushes that make it quite private but also has 180 degree water views. The host provided some breakfast items,a bottle of wine, chocolate,...

We stayed in Katie's cottage for a week. The cottage was large and well equipped. The deck area however needs some maintenance and the furniture was very old and shabby. Our biggest issue however was with the unit overhead. There was very little sound proofing in the floor and we could hear all movement and sound including continuous tv noise....

Dear Karen and Kevin. Thank you sincerely for your report on your stay at KATIES. We are very concerned and sorry about your bad experience with us. We are always aware of some noise drifting across from a near unit sharing the building. To overcome this we asked our guests to leave their shoes outside; for many reasons such as...

Having been to Mallacoota yearly for the last 20 years staying at the abode mud brick has given me even more respect for the township and its people. Peter & Margaret are two of the nicest people on earth they greet you with warmth and generosity that is infectiously good for the soul. The accomodation is out of this world...

The Mudbrick cabins at the side of the property are under new ownership, the original owners Peter and Margaret who made this a place so special and famous still live in the main house and still have five amazing properties available onsite with the same Mudbrick influence. Margaret and Peter still share there passion for nature and the area they...

A quirky, comfortable stay with our dog which we'd be very happy to repeat. Sitting beside the warm fire, glass of wine in hand watching the various birds flying in to feed on the provided birdseed. Wonderful views over the inlet of the sunset & sunrise.

I booked Katie's way in advance to visit our daughter while she spent a term at her school's remote campus which is accessed by water from the Karbethong pier. I thought we would be bringing my elderly father and so I had discussions with the owners about the most accessible unit and Katie's was recommended as it is accessible without...

We stayed in the 2 front flats, though all of them overlook the inlet. The ever-changing water views and bird-life make this spot a wonderfully restful place. It is quiet - away from the town, which is a very pleasant 40-minute walk along the foreshore, with its boardwalks and terrific views. We found the new hosts very welcoming and helpful, and...

We enjoyed our stay but reading the other reviews I think it should be mentioned that the place has changed hands sometime this year & the previous owners attention is missed. We brought our dogs & it was great to be able to have them inside, however it was disappointing that there was no immediate grass area to our unit...

Staying at the Honeymoon Cottage surrounded by rainforest and overlooking Mallacoota Lower Lake, my time was made ever more special by the people, the wildlife, the rainforest and easy access to the top and bottom lakes of Mallacoota Inlet during my kayaking and fishing holiday. The cottage was homely and comfortable with a wood fire and everything I needed for...
