We have stayed at Calder House twice, the Elizabeth Room upstairs and Calder Room downstairs, and enjoyed the warm hospitality of Pam Woodward including her superb homemade stewed fruit for breakfast. Originally called "Roseneath" built in 1865 and extended in the 1880s, much of the period fittings remain, with a huge drawing room with open fire and coffee/tea facilities and...

I spent an evening at Calder House while attending a yoga course in the area. Although I was the only guest at the time Pam set a log fire in the sitting room for me. She put on an early breakfast to suit my schedule and finally allowed me a late check out. She could not have been more accommodating....
