Detailed Reviews
We were two couples and we had an apartment each. Ours was the larger of the apartments and was located on the ground floor with a mezzanine bedroom and bathroom. The aprtment was large, well appointed (although the tv aerial connection was broken and made it hard ro watch tv when we finally decided to turn it on after dinner on our last night) and we had access to a delightful back yard with tables and chairs where we could picnic or go for drinks with lovely warm weather. The building is about 100m from the main road and a wonderful selection of coffee shops, cake shops and small shops.

The accommodation was absolutely beautiful. A very cozy place. Very clean and presented well.. The room upstairs in the en suite was very charming. I would highly recommend this place to anybody to stay. It’s also got parking and you are just behind the main street to walk to everything - shops, cafés, pubs.

The owners did a great job in converting an old administrative building into modern serviced apartments. The apartments were very clean and tidy and down a side street away from the main thoroughfare, which is very close. You can walk to all the good spots in Healesville from the Old Mechanics. There is a quiet little private courtyard, ideal for having a few drinks in the evening. The check-in (contactless) instructions were easy to follow. We met the owners who were very friendly and helpful. We have since been back and would stay again.

We stayed at the King Gallery 1 apartment and really enjoyed our stay! The photos on booking sites were accurate.
The bedroom and main bathroom are upstairs in the loft (open-concept). The bathroom has a huge, walk-in shower area and the bed was comfy.
There is a kitchenette, an additional toilet (I gave feedback that it would have been good to have hand soap there) and dining/living area downstairs. Coffee (plunger style) and tea were provided.
Donia was friendly (we bumped into her when we checked out :)). She also sent us clear instructions on how to check in, and tips on where to visit around the area.
Do note that it’s in the main Healesville town, which is great if you want to simply walk to a cafe etc, but I did get woken up late at night by some shouting/ rowdy behaviour.

Thanks for taking the time to provide us with this great review and we really appreciate the details you have provided for other guests. We have added the missing hand soap since your stay. Regarding the noise from outside, I hope it didn't detract too much from your stay, but as you said we are very close to town which is great for the convenience but sometimes people overindulge which can make them a little louder than normal. Regards Ozzie

Honestly perfect in everyway! Ive done a lot of trips away to winery regions an all accom seems to roll into one unless you want to spend a fortune. It's huge, with a seprate bedroom and 2 bathrooms. Close to everything. Great suggestions of things to do a provided by the owners. Wish we stayed 2 nights. Think I will book another night in the future! If you'd like a weekend away with your partner stay here and enjoy the area and the room!

We spent one night at The Old Mechanics - wish our stay could have been longer. Our room (4) was clean, spacious and cosy. We sipped a couple of glasses of champers in the very relaxing back patio, walked to the pub for dinner, enjoyed the comfort of the king sized bed, then strolled down the hill for brekkie. A lovely little getaway - just what we needed.

We had a whirlwind 1 night stay while we attended a concert in the area. I was devastated to have to leave the following morning. The apartment was so spacious, modern and immaculately clean. Walking distance to the gorgeous Healsville CBD, restaurants & cafes. With limited time we quickly checked in and took a short stroll to Herd Bar & Grill for lunch (amazing food & wine list). A quick freshen up and were out the door again. By the time we returned we were cold, wet & tired (unfortunately we couldn't control the weather). That's when we discovered the huge beautiful rain shower before melting into the most comfortable bed I've slept in. I think I previously awarded this title to the Westin Hotel in Mebourne. I've changed my mind!
Unfortunately I didn't get time to take any pictures. I can say it is every bit as pretty in the flesh as it is in the Booking.com pictures.
It was lovely and peaceful during our time there. I genuinely cannot wait to return and enjoy all that this gorgeous place has to offer.

Our apartment was clean and spacious with modern furnishings. The bedroom was large, the bed comfortable and the en-suite shower delightful.
Take time to drink a glass or two of the local wines on the back garden - so relaxing.

We booked a one night stay as we were looking to spend some time at the four pillars brewery which was just down the road. This place is a hidden gem, I really didn't expect it to look as good as it did.
Really clean, easy to find and was quite large.
Would definitely return.

A great two night stay in this wonderful place very close to the centre of Healesville. The building is a great example of what can be done to restore an historic place that time has forgotten. So much thought has gone into the design, with lovely creative touches. The bed was so comfortable too!
Just to round off the experience Donia and Oz are the perfect hosts!
All in all, I'm not sure why you'd choose to stay anywhere else!
