My wife and I had a terrible dinner in the hotel bistro. The food and wine was vastly over priced and our food was shocking. My wife ordered a lemon flavored chicken with parsley and garlic sauce served with shaved sprouts and radish. The chicken came to our table cold and was not cooked through (quite pink in the middle)...

On 27/4/17 my wife and I took a couple from Adelaide to the Yarra Valley and to lunch at the Healesville Hotel as we have done previously. The menu had changed and was more expensive, I ordered Berkshire Pork Belly ($36) and my wife ordered Bar Chicken ($30). Served with a flourish and on a large plate the servings were...

My wife and I stayed here over a weekend. It was difficult to find because the picture we had seen when we booked was of a cottage but in actual fact we had booked at the pub. The rooms have been renovated and offer ok accommodation as far as a pub goes and the meals were good. The staff were...

Busy and popular for brunch. Mostly outdoor dining with the need to order inside at the counter. The new Autumn menu sounded good. A small problem in that a menu item order turned out not to be available- not known until after ordering- which given that you pay when you order turns into a bit of a drama. Still the...

Stayed in the cottages in the street behind the hotel in September 2016.Were attracted by the blurb offering lovely interiors with T2 teas giving the impression of cosy casual comfort. This place was anything but.A tired little one bedroom cottage surrounded by an unkempt garden boasting dirty old plastic furniture.A couple of T2 t bags and towels that had seen better...

On a lovely Autumn afternoon we called in to have a drink and a light meal. The beer garden was really nice and relaxing. Our meal a chicken Parma was delicious followed by a mocha coffee! Will be back!!

My husband, myself, and our 8 mth baby stayed overnight at the Healesville Hotel recently. We randomly found ourselves in Healesville during a mini road trip. I was initially put off by the shared bathrooms and old building... Im so glad we took the chance and stayed, It really was a wonderful experience! The rooms (and whole property, in general)...

We really enjoyed our two night getaway here! We were in a spacious, light filled room with a huge bed and air-conditioning! Usually I don't use air con but it was about 38 degrees and we had been driving and walking around a fair bit. It was so lovely to come into a cool room and just relax! I love...
