Beautiful place to stay. Very spacious with a beautiful garden. Lovely hosts Eileen and Steve were very helpful and knowledgeable on things to do and which Restaurants to visit and provided a very nice breakfast.

We really enjoyed our stay at Barnsley House..It is a lovely old house - our hosts Steve and Eileen were very helpful explaining about the history of the house and the town and recommended the best restaurants to go to.The breakfast was just wonderful

We really enjoyed our stay at Barnsley House. Steve and Eileen are excellent hosts and told us all about the history of the house which was very interesting. The house and gardens are beautiful. They also recommended great places to eat and are very knowledgeable about Beechworth. We had a great time and will come again.

Wonderful home, delicious breakfast, beautiful hosts. We loved our stay. We found the house so comfortable and quiet. With an easy walk to the main streets of Beechworth, it's also a great location. And we cannot say enough good words about Eileen and Steve as hosts. We hope to stay again

We stayed here on the way to Melbourne. The actual house itself had lots of character, the sitting room was the most pleasant area and was very bright, the gardens were very nice. we stayed in the Elizabeth room. the bed was very high.. a little hard but ok. the rooms have ensuites with large spa baths and showers over the spa. the breakfast was very nice, the hosts were lovely and very knowledgable on the area.

On a mystery anniversary weekend we arrived at Barnsley House and were welcomed by Eileen and Steve and after settling in were invited for afternoon tea in the Conservatory. What a delight with fresh scones, jam and cream. Our Albert Lodge was divine with king bed and ensuite. Nothing was any trouble for Steve and Eileen and our breakfast service...

The house and garden are only surpassed by the friendliness and welcome of the owners, Eileen and Steve. The house is decorated in an English country style that is fitting for the town. It is impeccably clean and comfortable; the breakfast was delicious. The beds were comfortable - we stayed on our way to the Great Ocean Road and back...
