We enjoyed the fish of the day .... fish and chips and the Chicken Burger in the pub.... great meal...... took a little while but we enjoyed "my mother and father's music" from days gone by... the property is steeped in history,, the waitress was friendly and the meal was good value....

I researched accommodation before booking, based on reviews i thought we would be pretty safe. Our expectations were well exceeded by the rooms, bedding, service, food in the restaraunt and especially the staff. We will Definately return for a longer stay. The renovations and dedication to history are a credit to the owner and Beechworth should be very proud. Thank...

Absolute quality dining, service and comfort. We were recommended this venue for a special occasion and was not disappointed. The food was first class and the chef deserves every accolade for taste and presentation. Well done!

Two of us stayed Saturday night, up from Melbourne, on our way down the Omeo highway on our bikes. The hotel retains its old world charm and is a great place to stay. The room was large, clean, nicely decorated and had a verandah with a view of the street. We ate in the restaurant which was above average with...

We chose Roast of the Day, the Belly Pork and roasted vegetables was wonderful..., the fire was roaring and staff in the dining room and at the bar were most friendly.. Enjoyed very much.... The choice of beers at the bar...great and the dining room upstairs was setup for Winter in July very special!

Upstairs at the Nic is our favourite eating spot in Beechworth. Chef Jess oversees an innovative menu and takes the time to devise a separate vegan menu when we book. Our last visit was for hubby's birthday with a group of 9 including 2 vegans and a coeliac . Not phased with a bigger group, the food impressed everyone. And...

We ate on two occasions at this hotel, coming back the 2nd night because we enjoyed the 1st. 2 big meals including entree and a bottle of red cost a little over $70, which we thought was good. Our soup came out as a main meal at one point because it had been put through as a main, but no issue,...

I have visited the Nicholas before as a pub to have a few drinks and really enjoyed the experience. We went this weekend as part of my husband's 60th birthday celebration weekend away. He chose the pub as unable to get a booking at the Hibernian Hotel which was his first choice. The historical photos and displays are fascinating. The...

We did not stay in the hotel, but dined on a Monday night and the restaurant was still very close to full. The food took a while to arrive, but that wasn't too much of an issue as there is plenty to look at. The restaurants collection of artwork relating to the local area around the time of Ned Kelly...
