We felt miles away from the big city although the Sydney CBD was in view. Rooms were OK, but lacking in luxury comforts. Having a hotel and conference facility at the old quarantine station is a great concept and interesting bit of history.

This is a very unique hotel, probably better for a wedding group or a conference, but for somewhere romantic, not really. The check in, could be friendlier, the rooms even deluxe are small, bathroom functional but a bit stark. This is a fun place, for a night, but no more.

Stayed for two nights & had a wonderful time. The grounds & rooms were great. Was a bit nervous about an "outside" toilet in the Heritage Suite but it just added to the charm :) Very easy to get to the sights of Sydney but far enough to not feel that you were staying in the city. Views from the...

We stayed for one night on the weekend- 2 nights would be ideal so you have time to do all the tours and explore the area. Even though the hotel was full you didn't really see many other guests as the accommodation is spread out. You park the car at the reception area which is basic but friendly staff are...

We only stayed here for one night and it would have been great if we could have stayed for longer. The hotel is located in a bushland setting on North Head with beautiful views of Sydney Harbour from Manly to the city. They've done a great job of reusing and refurbishing the buildings that were the quarantine station for so...

We stayed overnight at the Q station, as we needed a venue close to Freshwater Beach, where we were attending a wedding. Our rooms, 48 and 49, in "P 10 Block" were spacious, modern, clean and comfortable. Each room had its own Queen sized bed, lounge area and bathroom. There was room for a toddler to spread out: despite the...

Nothing that I read fully prepared us for the wonderful and thoroughly enjoyable experience at Q Station. However, because it is a historic site and they have done an excellent job of keeping as much as possible of the old Quarantine station feel, you need to fully understand the types of accommodations they offer before your visit. For instance, there...

We spent three nights here with family. It was great, we didn't have to use the car. Caught the ferry from the pier or Manly into Sydney. The Q station is a lovely spot, great views, comfortable and well equipped accommodation and the breakfasts were amazing. Would definitely stay here again. We also saw some 'little' penguins, bandicoots, possums and...

I cannot think of any other hotel on Sydney Harbour that is anything like the Q Station. No, it is not luxury by any means, but it has extensive grounds and an interesting history that make it a completely unique place to stay in Sydney. Its the type of place you go for the experience, not the accommodation. There is...

A very unusual hotel. Basically converted Quarantine station in an amazing setting. Beautiful views of the harbour . While is is not 5 star it is a location and hotel like no other. You have to transfer to a bus at the parking lot as no cars allowed. This is perfect and gives a peaceful environment. Close to manly and...
