A note to all people looking for somewhere cheap to stay ... do not stay here!!! This is a half way place for long term drug rehabs and social drop outs. There is a massive problem with cockroaches and everynight - there is problems with cops, domestic abuse and drug abusers who have psychotic episodes ... terrible place to stay....

Please do not stay here if you value your sanity, cleanliness and prefer to sleep with your light off, as if you do turn it on in the middle of the night your room will be alive with cockroaches. And it's always pleasant to wake up to find that the male manager has let himself into your room while you...

Dulwich Hill Lodge is the worst place on earth to stay at. We left after only two hours on site as we did not feel safe enough to stay the night. The whole place should be shut down !!! It was filthy and full of bed bugs and it seemed that most of the people that were there were on drugs...

This place has a bit of a bad rap, but honestly all the problems mentioned in these reviews I have yet to see, apart from the security. Its a lot cleaner, I've yet to see any trouble, minimum noise, and all in all it seems a pretty good place to stay. Mind you I am in the very front dorm...

The noise of screaming, drunk residents was amazing and certainly lifted my knowledge of swear words, and not all of them...

This place suits the traveler that needs budget accommodation in Sydney and doesn't mind sharing their room with cockroaches and cigarette smoke. The fingerprint dust on the old lockers in the room really set the mood for a very ordinary stay. The glossy photos on their website really don't do justice to the stench of urine that greets you when...

Nice heritage type of building, however there are plenty of other more pleasant & safer places to sleep. Too much fighting. Big roomy kitchen. Handy to public transport. Rude management and poor, unreliable customer service.

I stayed here almost three monts earlier this this year but won't again. Apart from overflowing garbage bins and toilets that overflowed and weren't cleaned regularly electronic key cards didnt work on at least five different occasions and required I ring a number and leave a message and wait for half an hour for someone to come and let me...
