To add to Azra L's review: Overall the resort was clean and had friendly staff. They would remember who you are and treat you like friends. The concierge at the front helped me get flowers and a card for my fiancés birthday; she was great. We did not meet one American person here, all Canadians! Met some awesome people on...

My fiance and I visited the Decameron Los Cocos from Christmas to New years. After tons of research we decided to upgrade our room to a superior and stay in building 4 by the adults only pool - and we are so glad we did. The hotel is structured quite differently - the lobby, disco, steak house, building 4, and...

Just returned from a week at Los Cocos. Arrived Christmas Day, left New Years Day. Lots of "good". Very clean, awesome staff, food was better than expected. Wine, as per every Mexican resort we have ever stayed at, is basically undrinkable. We bought wine locally and brought to dinner every night, they are good with that, even pour it for...

Our initual room was on the second floor of building one, and looked over the back of the main buffet. Around three in the morning there would be workers going about their work, whether it was deliveries or just getting prepared for the day ahead. It was a bit noisy and would usually wake us up. On the second floor...

I have visited this resort many times over the years. I was surprised at the decline in many areas. I came to Cocos for Christmas with my 17 year old son. ROOM...our first room smelled like sewer. Using the bathroom during the night I had to cover my nose. My son was grossed out by the 4 geckos that appeared...

This Hotel is great, if you are looking for a laid-back, more simple adventure. The rooms are spartan (no fridge, alarm clocks, hair dryers), bed was firm (we had a topper) but who is there for the room?! The staff were fantastic, and went out of their way to ensure that we had everything and anything we needed. Everything was...

The beach is excellent. It is a small, fishing village. There is many shops with excellent prices. If you want 4-5 stars you won't enjoy this hotel. No internet but the Delphi down the road has excellent coffee and internet. The beds are hard and the rooms are small unless you stay in the superior rooms. There is many stairs...

Cocos is not your typical all inclusive. Some good features, and others not so good. We chose this AI because it is right in the center of town - it's not isolated like typical resorts. You actually feel you are in Mexico! The food is very good, with a nice selection. (My husband is a vegan and he had plenty...

The rooms were basic, the mattresses and pillows a bit stiff and the food was nothing to write home about. The drinks were good but I'm not a big drinker so never factors too much into my ratings. The big negative about this location was the nightly entertainment and the check out process, which was nightmarish. The have a central...

We loved Decameron Los Cocos and found the employees so gracious, kind and friendly and really made you feel comfortable and at home. Also the majority of people who holiday at this resort are Mexican families and we had a wonderful time getting to know them and made some great personal connections. Guayabitos is a small fishing village and you...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
On the picturesque Bay of Rincon de Guayabitos in the state of Nayarit, just 55 minutes from Puerto Vallarta International Airport amidst a typical fishing village, Hotel Decameron Los Cocos is the ideal place to experience the most spectacular family holiday. Its white beaches and crystal clear water contrast with the bright colors of the hotel's architecture. We have 4 pools throughout our installations, 3 of which are suitable for children, and over 100 meters of beaches. Experience the international and typical dishes you can find at the La Bamba, La Canoa and El Tropical Restaurants, or enjoy the most delicious drinks at the disco or at the bars on the beach, like La Iguana and Pelicanos. During the day you can enjoy different recreational activities like non-motorized water sports, kayaking, sailboats and a catamaran, a massage parlor, and tennis, basketball and beach volleyball courts. ... more   less
