Often book this carvery as an alternative to cooking Sunday dinner. The decor is a tad basic but the staff are there to make sure your bellies are full when you leave. The first thing I noticed was the nice amount of meat I got. Good choice of veg and super tasty roasties and gravy. Also tried their world buffet... More

First visit to this hotel was a wedding we were invited to, lovely welcome from the manager. Our bedroom was basic but tidy and clean , the downstairs was nice enough the upstairs though was stunning great place for a wedding the staff were excellent and attentive we missed breakfast (to much to drink) but were offered toast when we... Well where do we start, the Sunday roast is incredible, wanted to take a pile of their mash home! The meat was cooked beautifully, there was a choice of 6 today! Good thick carvings and plentiful portions. The decor could be improved and was a little Random, but well worth it for an excellent value Sunday roast!!

Appalling - had no choice but to stay here as were invited to attend a wedding. The wedding was a success, however as far as the 'Hotel' goes there is no way they have any star rating - hotel inspectors need a visit!!! Beds seem from the last century, the shower dribbled instead of showering. No toilet roll holder or... More

Didn't really know what to expect but after seeing the guy on fb advertising his buffet, I thought I'd give it a go. My husband, 13 year old son and I went. We were greeted by the man in the video, (sorry forgot his name). We were shown to our table where the waiter explained how it worked and what... More

The staff were great and will do whatever they can for you but the hotel is a dump, had four nights there and came out covered in bites and something was running around the ceiling at night and if you do stay there just keep an eye on your tab as you may end up with extra on there

Rooms in desperate need of up dating. And a good clean. Apparently our room was refurbished, but there was no way it was, the bed Base had holes in, the stairs where steep going up and down and certainly not safe for any individual the banister was filthy and your hand stuck to it. Our room stank of bleach. The... More

The room was basic - 2 good size beds. Clean but decor let it down. Wear and tear on furniture. Bathroom clean but again in need of some paint particularly on the ceiling. Overall the room needed TLC and renovating. This would be the same for the rest of the hotel. The staff were very pleasant and helpful at all... More

To be honest it's one of the worst hotels I've stayed in. Rooms not right cracking very dated and smells like an old folks home. Breakfast is ok. On an up side staff are friendly and easy to get on with and it's cheap food, rooms and of course beer. So if you're looking to have a beer or ten and... More
