We went for 2 nights and loved it. The hotel has interesting history and retains some lovely features. Rooms are a nice size and the shower is good and the breakfasts are delicious. Nice people, very friendly we will definitely be returning.

I spent a couple of days at this property. It was at short notice but I found a nice, clean comfortable place which exceeded my expectations. The place is well kept even though an upgrading project is underway and in no way did it hinder the guests. The breakfast served is of the highest quality and more than sufficient to...

Lovely friendly welcome with and beautiful clean bedroom and bathroom. Stayed here on business and is a handy location for bars and restaurants. Looking forward to seeing the hotels Tapas restaurant opening in the new year. I will certainly be back to sample the new menu.

Booked a year ago for rugby World Cup weekend only for hotel to cancel 4 weeks before arrival because they were 'fully booked' leaving us little option of places to stay, disgusted by hotel actions, took them a year to realise they were fully booked?? I have no problem in hotels upping prices but not at cost of customers already...

Hello As stated to you yesterday, I only realised the problem when I was checking my arrivals for the 18th August 2015, I always check the arrivals for the day and compare them to several sites that I appear on. when I was looking at booking.com and you where not on the arrivals with them for that day I started...

Together with my wife and her mother, we spent a lovely 3 days here, for a family reunion in town. Our two rooms (5 and 6) were clean, decently equipped, comfortable, and with stunning views over Barry. Breakfasts were excellent, and very-freshly cooked, and our family trio of hosts were friendly and helpful. There is a small bar to unwind...

Came here with my partner for a weekend away in Barry, and it was brilliant! From the moment we arrived were made to feel so welcome by the 3 lovely ladies, gave us directions around and told us where best to go, so helpful and nothing was too much, even when we asked for another room for my parents they...

Just came back from another lovely break at the Aberthaw House Hotel. We would never stay anywhere else in Barry apart from here. If superficial things like the wallpaper are the most important thing you look for in a hotel then you might be better off staying at a Premier Inn or a Travel Lodge where you are just a...

Had the best time in Barry, Helen and Dee both very friendly can't do enough for you, very calm and relaxed, always wanting to know your plans and if they can help in anyway. They cook a mean Welsh breakfast and a "Tidy" omelette defo don't skip breakfast. Lovely location, we had a view looking out to the water which...

Visited this hotel with my wife, new baby and dog last weekend. Can not speak highly enough of the customer service received, location, and value for money. While experience from booking to leaving the hotel in the morning was too notch. Two ladies who own it could not have been friendlier or more helpful. Hotel itself is clean, homely and...
