Yet again another fabulous weekend here with David and Jane, the perfect hosts. My husband and I have been coming here for a number of years now, on our own, with friends, and with Somerset Advanced Motorcyclists (also friends!!). This year our group of riders was 25 and we were made so welcome as usual. The rooms are spotless, the...

We stayed in a 6 bed self catering accommodation as a family and had a wonderful time. We had previously stayed in the house whilst walking Offa's Dyke and had decided we would like to stay in the cottages. As it was a special birthday we booked one for the week and also a meal for the special day. It...

We stayed one night at the end of walking Glyndwr's Way. David picked us up in town and was a charming host. He used to farm cattle and sheep but sold the livestock to help his wife Jane run the B and B in this gracious, high ceilinged farm house on a hilltop that was his grandparents home. Very large...

We had a wonderful stay at this beautifully located farmhouse.Lovely and well furnished spacious rooms, excellent home cooked dinner (booked in advance) and a hearty breakfast to see us on our way the following morning. We arrived in Welshpool quite late and without reservations. We searched and found this gem which had one last room. David the owner, waited for us while we searched for an open restaurant to eat before we checked in. We got a bit lost and he called to help guide us since the google map was wrong. We stayed in...

We ( Glyn & Dot Stenson) stayed at Tyllwyn Farm during our 177 mile Offas Dyke walk and although we stayed at some lovely accommodation along the journey, this was simply the best. We can't praise enough the care, welcome from our hosts. The room, it's view and idyllic location was simply breathtaking. The food was first class and David...

We booked a few days ahead just for one night (now wish we could have stayed longer). The views from the Farmhouse B&B are superb as we had an excellent corner room with views from two windows. Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Tynllwyn is a large Victorian farmhouse dated 1841. Guests are welcome on the farm all year round. The farm is approached up a long private drive a mile out of Welshpool with beautiful views of the Severn Valley and Long Mountain. Welshpool is a country market town in Mid Wales and we are ideally situated for lovely walks along Glyndwrs Way and Offas Dyke. We have many places of interest to visit, e.g. Welshpool and Llanfair Light Railway (one of the great little steam trains of Wales), Canal Boat trips and beautiful Powis castle. Market day is held every Monday. There is also fishing, golf, pony trekking, quad bike trekking and a modern leisure centre with swimming pool, fitness suite and bowls hall. We are central for many worthwhile day trips to the North and West Coast. We also provide self catering barn conversions. ... more   less
