Vickie was such a lovely person. She was very friendly and did everything she could to make our stay comfortable and the very best Easter break that we could have had. We had a whole wing to ourselves. It was wonderful, on a baronial style, with a log burner, medieval table a chairs and settee in the lounge diner and...

Thanks Vickie - a lovely night in your wonderful home. We travelled as two couples and founds the rooms (Oak and Pine) were brilliant. The showers were very good. We were able to sit by the fire and had a breakfast around a lovely wooden table. Excellent breakfast.

Vicky was a lovely attentive host nothing was too much trouble. Rooms were lovely, as was the bathroom. Especially loved sitting round the log fire chatting with a glass of wine, very cosy. Breakfast was delicious all locally sourced. Loved meeting Daisy🐶.

The Old School is a family favourite of ours. Vickie is a wonderful hostess who ensures that every possible detail of your stay is enjoyable, relaxing and luxurious. The fact that you don't just get a bedroom, but a private sitting room as well is outstanding, and spending the evening curled up opposite the log burner is perfection. Everything about...

Just had our second stay here, and every bit as good as the first. Tea and fresh welshcakes on arrival, and a roaring fire in the log burner to sooth away the stress of a long drive. Vicky is the friendliest, most efficient landlady we have met, not to mention being an excellent cook. Highly recommended - we will be...

Lovely country B&B with easy access for walks and towns. Accommodation was lovely with a log burner to keep you warm. The breakfast was excellent and all needs taken care of. Would thoroughly recommend.

We had a super welcome from our host Vickie and our room was warm and very quiet. As I had to be up early for a photo event one morning; that was no problem and breakfast was a good start to a long day.

This is a first-rate establishment in every way. Welcoming, obliging host, everything spotlessly clean and delightful location. We requested an evening meal and, like the breakfast the following morning, was delicious. Would recommend unreservedly.

Beautifully furnished room, oak furniture, interesting pictures, a place with character and class in an interesting historic building. Very quiet setting, lovely landscape. Vicky is charming and helpful, dog Daisy affectionate, children clever and bilingual! On arrival she gave me a big pot of tea and Welsh cakes. Fresh fruit is always available in a bowl in the visitors lounge/dining...

I stayed for 1 night on the 30th September. The School House is in a nice, secluded location. The room was nice, large and airy, with a good en suite shower. Vicky was very welcoming, but there was no sign of the "home made cake, fresh fruit and well stocked hospitality tray in the room" which would have been welcome...
