Sleep Quality
There are three accommodations which are situated apart from each other in a secluded two acre field. Willow yurt is roughly 16ft in diameter and sleep 2-4 adults. Cherry yurt is 19ft in diameter can sleep up to 6 adults. And Oak yurt is two yurts, one 16ft and one 19ft which are joined together by a corridor and a door. Each yurt is fully furnished and heated by a woodburner which makes them extremely warm while the felt holds in the heat. Outside, each yurt has its own fire-pit, bench seating, picnic table and cast iron BBQ, all of which can be moved around the field so larger groups can sit together. At the bottom of the yurt field is a very eco compost toilet, don't be scared it's not that different to a normal loo, just without the flushing! The kitchen and shower facilities are situated in a separate area a few metres from the yurt field. The cabin kitchen is fully equipped with all the cooking equipment, crockery and glasses you should need including a gas cooker, fridge and kitchen sink. The shower is close by and is fully heated it also includes a heated towel rail and hairdryer.

Eric and Anya are the most delightful hosts. The accommodation is cosy, comfortable, warm, inviting and just perfect.

The shower and toilet facilities where clean and the water in the shower was always hot, not to mention the heating in there made it so welcoming and pleasant.

The kitchen has everything you need and I felt so safe with the measures put in place due to Covid.

Hand sanitizer everywhere, brilliant! 😁

Everything for the log burner is provided free too. 😍😍

We cant wait to come back when the weather is better and take more advantage of the BBQ and Pizza Oven available on site too.

Thanks again

Karen, John and Roxy dog. 🐶🐕

We had the most wonderful 3 nights staying in Ash yurt last weekend. Our 3 year old absolutely loved running around the site and there were lots of things in the area to entertain him too - from steam trains to kayaks. The yurt was cosy and well equipped, and each one had its own firepit and BBQ - with plenty of free firewood supplied. The facilities are fantastic with a very clean and modern private shower/toilet per yurt which felt very covid secure, and there was a communal kitchen area with a fridge and cupboard per yurt. We also loved making our own pizzas using the outdoor pizza oven! Eric and Anya couldn't have been more welcoming and friendly - thank you for having us, we really hope to be back!

I was a bit dubious about glamping, but I had the best time with my family at this beautiful site. The Yurts are spacious, comfortable, well equipped including a kettle for your morning cuppa. They are heated by lovely warm log burners wood in good supply from the wood shed at no extra charge. The children loved fetching the wood in the carts to bring to each Yurt, and in the evening each Yurt is surrounded by fairy lights.
The kitchen area is great, with each Yurt having its own utensils and a Fridge, there’s a double hob and a large oven, off the kitchen is a covered area with very large table and benches great for sitting together to eat. Another great feature was the Pizza Oven we made Pizza it was great. If the weather is good each Yurt does have its own table benches, Barbi and fire pit.
Toilet and Shower block is spotless, always hot water.
The surroundings are so beautiful, unfortunately for us it rained quite a lot but it didn’t spoil the fun and the children had a great time.
We are going again next year.
Last but not least Anya and Eric Our hosts were lovely very friendly, should we have needed to ask for anything it would have been supplied.
See you again next time Anya and Eric.
Very best wishes from the Poole’s.

I stayed at Strawbery sky yurts in March 2022. Its a wonderful special place Eric & Anya have worked very hard to make your stay unique and special. The Yurts are very comfortable with log burner and outside space for a bbq or evening outdoor fire. Also a seperate loo shower and cooking area including a pizza oven is available. The path down to the Yurts is a bit of a challenge however you can park at the top. So dont drive down in your porsche or honda goldwing just park at the top by the gate. You will be ok on an adventure bike or SUV. The location is great for walking and exploring mid Wales. Also dont miss out on the awsome skys during sun set nature at its best. A very special part of the world.

Such a great place. Flawless glamping site. Every attention to detail is catered for by the wonderful Anya and her husband Eric. Initially we booked the double yurt called “Oak” because our kids were joining us, due to a change of plans Anya agreed it best to move us to “Cedar”, the new build timber yurt. It was amazing, they all were.

I have stayed in worse 4 star hotels, this place was fantastic by comparison. Our yurt was very well furnished with modern finishes. It had a boutique feel, very romantic, clean and had everything you would want. Kettle, tea, coffee etc. Kindling, free fire wood for the stove. We went for the bedding pack and found our bed fully made with funky floral bedding - which smelt amazing! Couldn’t have asked for more, it was really amazing. Dark at night, warm throughout due to log burner and thick bedding. On sunny days the yurts stay warm all night themselves.

We arrived around 5pm and were advised of the self check in, so headed to our yurt to unpacked, everywhere was spotless for our arrival and the extra bbq and equipment was ready for us in sealed tubs. Shortly after arriving Anya strolled up from her home to greet us and show us around. There are allocated bathrooms for each yurt which are large and clean. Hot water and shower pressure are both great. All very clean, no unwanted smells etc…

There is a large kitchen area, all the plates, pots, pans and utensils you would possibly want. A BBQ area if you want to cook as a group and not next to your yurt. A brick pizza oven and outdoor dining/ prep space.

We cooked on our yurts bbq and over the camp fire next to our yurt. We ate on the outdoor bench tables provided. Neighbouring yurts all well distanced so you don’t hear anything should they decide to party and drink late.

The location is great. Very quiet, surrounded by farm land and no visable neighbours. Rolling hills and views across to the welsh mountains - the views are amazing. No light pollution so loads of stars at night when sitting outside drinking and chatting. Full 4g and 3g coverage should you want it.

Nearby Spar and Londis for provisions, but I recommend the breakfast pack extra ordered on site as it was so tasty! There are local pubs for drinks in the nearby village as suggested but the food didn’t look particularly great. I would recommend the Raven Inn, a short drive in the opposite direction.

Would highly recommend this place and will definitely be returning.

Stunning scenery 'in the middle of nowhere'. Beautiful wooden round cabin, warmly furnished inside - very comfortable and cosy. Using the compost loo was easy to get the hang of, and the shower was beautifully appointed with lovely hot water. Our two family groups were the only occupants the weekend of our visit making it easy to use the kitchen facilities including the BBQ and pizza oven. We made use of the fire pit one evening, which created a wonderful atmosphere in this lovely setting. We took the opportunity to take a ride on the Welshpool & Llanfair Light Railway during our stay. Our hosts fro Strawberry Skies Yurts were most welcoming and chatty.

We can only say how beautiful we found our 2nd stay at Strawberry Skys Yurts and that is why we have booked our 3rd stay this coming New Years Eve.
The entire ambience to which we have experienced here during our stays only ever manages to please and make our break an extremely beautiful worthwhile stay.
The Yurts are impeccable, warm, cosy, fresh and completely relaxing. The morning and evening views are wonderful, a chance to recharge and regroup with my hubby and also be in touch with the beauty that surrounded us in nature.
Attention to detail inside and out is just great! we cooked in the kitchen, wrapped up cosy enjoying refreshments whilst listening to music whilst surrounded in lights, things couldn't have got any better!
Thank you to our hosts Anya and Eric😊 - See you in December

We have stayed in the Ash and Cedar - both Yurts are fab!

Local walks are breath-taking and the village is just down the road.

This was our second visit to the yurts, this time with friends. We remained impressed with the facilities and the natural camaraderie that seems to flow between guests in communal areas such as the kitchen or around the rope swings. It’s a beautiful location with lots to enjoy, from campfires (we hired cooking equipment and made the most of a fireside evening cooking sausages, burgers and sinking a few beers!), cozy yurts, the pizza oven to off-site activities such as alpaca trekking which was excellent fun for us all!
I have no doubt we’ll be back AGAIN in another year or so!

Wow! What an absolutely amazing place! We had the best few days away. The welcome pack had a wealth of information and detailed exactly what was provided and what we needed to bring with us. The yurt (Ash) was spacious, clean and very comfortable. The shower/toilet room was large, spacious and immaculate. A big shower with plenty of hot water and brilliant that each yurt had their own shower/toilet room allocated during our stay. The kitchen area was well equipped and a fridge allocated for each yurt was really helpful. A fire pit outside the yurt with an endless supply of wood was great each evening. The owners Anya & Eric were very warm, friendly and welcoming and couldn't do enough to help (borrowed us towels for the dog - the only thing we forgot)! and to make our stay memorable.
I can't recommend this gem of a site enough - I'm certainly glad I found it and have already booked a return trip!

Once again, we were overwhelmed with the hospitality we received from Anya and Eric, who went out of their way to make sure that our experience was the best. The Oak yurt was beautiful inside, with a calming atmosphere and wonderfully warm at night, with the woodburner lit. The meadow was a great place for the children to play, with amazing views and sunsets. Everything you needed was provided and the pizza oven was a super family activity, which caused alot of laughter and entertainment. We enjoyed walking into the nearby village for lunch and taking the steam train into Welshpool. Overall, take the plunge and experience the yurts yourself!
