Everything about our stay was excellent. We had a very warm welcome and the room and en-suite were very clean. Tina could not have been more helpful with regards to our stay and suggestions of where to eat in the evenings. Tina and Dave have worked wonders on the house over the years with their renovations. The breakfast was plentiful...

Hi Graham & Barbara, I'm glad to note that the efforts we have put into the various renovations have not gone unnoticed. The thing about the wonderful countryside and wildlife in the Dyfi Valley is that it is never the same twice. Already we have the swallows returning, and are looking forward to see if the swifts nest here again...

Plas Mawr is a house full of character which the proprietors have enhanced. With its walls, floors and doors that know not a right angle, it is unique and is a pleasure to be welcomed into. Tina is lovely and knows what it takes to make her guests feel at home. She is friendly and welcoming and cooks a mean...

We have stayed here for years now. Standards are always excellent and the level of comfort and service exceptional! Breakfasts served in a clean, homely setting to fill you before getting out to see the water mill and falls at Furnace - just a 5 minute walk away. If you love nature, this is definitely the place to stay! RSPB...

We stayed at Plas Mawr for 1 night in September this year whilst visiting RSPB Ynis Hir. We really enjoyed our stay & would thoroughly recommend. It's in a great location, really handy for what we had planned. Our room was great - on the back of the house, with views of the garden (& Ynis Hir reserve when the...

We stayed at Plas Mawr for 2 nights. The property is on a main road, but the traffic isn't an issue. The cleanliness was excellent and the cooked breakfast was 10/10! As a B&B and for the cost it is faultless. If you want more - perhaps a hotel, then pay more and stay elsewhere! Both Tina and Dave were...

A small B&B on the A487. This is a quiet road in the evenings so the B&B is not noisy. Our comfortable room facing the rear garden had lovely views of the trees and hillside. Good choice of breakfast. Plenty to do locally in Ynys Hir, the Dyfi Osprey Project and Aberystwyth. Great traditional old pub three miles down the...

We stayed for two nights around a birdwatching trip to RSPB Ynys Hir. I feel a little mean giving just three stars, perhaps its a 3 and a half.
