We visited for a fortieth birthday party and stayed overnight. This place is simply amazing, not a medieval castle but rather a Victorian castle style house it has been restored and re-fitted to perfection. It is large but homely with nothing out of place or out of character. The dining room is a roofed over courtyard which is simply superb...

When we booked a stay at Glandyfi Castle on our eight day tour of Wales with friends we didn't know what to expect. Our stay exceeded, beyond imagination, any and all of our expectations. The owners, Maureen and Peter, were welcoming and accomodating and EVERYTHING from the tea and scones in the sitting room, dinner, breakfast in the ancient sunny...

We had an amazing stay for 2 nights in this beautiful castle, hosted by the very welcoming Maureen and Peter. The room was the nicest and most comfortable that we have been in for some time, the substantial bathroom with views to die for. The castle was situated in expansive gardens with a commanding aspect over the countryside, including the...

What a fantastic place to spend a couple of days in the honeymoon suite and be totally spoiled. The room was luxurious and the hosts were very welcoming and relaxed, it felt more like we were guests in their house rather than staying in a hotel. The 3 course dinner was excellent, well presented in the dining room and the...

My wife, grown daughter and I spent an evening at the Castle on July 3. Yes, this is a real castle. We were warmly greeted by Maureen, the owner and accomplished chef, and her husband. Although she has 8 rooms, she let us know that she doesn't let more than 4 except to a single party (such as a wedding...

For a major family event like a 90th birthday or a wedding this must be the best. We booked the whole Castle for the family and had a major dinner, then a buffet another night for more people. It is ideal for a weekend celebration.

A lovely castle in a perfect setting. The 2 days stay was a dream. The owners took personal care and the breakfast area was really pretty as you could see the sky. Would love to visit again. Highly recommended.

This is such a wonderful and restful place; we had Nightingale and Wren for 2 nights for our family which worked extremely well. The hosts are very welcoming and helpful. The position and views are absolutely superb and delicious dinners are served in a really beautiful dining area. We definitely plan to return.

My daughter held her wedding reception in this magnificent venue. The rooms are spectacular and the views stunning. Hosts Maureen and Peter were attentive but not intrusive going out of their way to make this wedding a family occasion full of wonderful memories. The food was outstanding and plentiful.I hope to visit again soon and wouldn't hesitate to recommend this...
