Back almost a year on to walk the southern section of Offa's Dyke Path, I was pleased to find that little has changed: a different, but equally comfortable room, good food and friendly service. Keep it up!

The rooms are in the converted stables and could be quite nice but they are poorly finished off. Small showers with flimsy curtains that draw into you when the shower is on. Poor quality beds. Plastic flowers. All looks like it could have potential but is a bit unloved. The welcome is pretty perfunctory too. So functional but with so...

We booked a table for 5 but ate in the bar as it was not busy. We had good food- scampi & chips/ Fish & Chips and chicken breast. Friendly staff and good value- but heard that the chef had left- landlady must have stepped in-well worth a visit

Lovely, clean room and good customer service from some very friendly locals who made me feel very welcome. The food was great and I had a lovely stay. Great value for money and I'll definitely be back if life brings me back this way in the future!

We arrived on a festival day and there was dancing in the bar area and plenty of pints being consumed. Fortunately the rooms are behind the bar/restaurant and with the window closed and earplugs the noise was bearable. The room was clean with a small bathroom but everything worked. The pub is convenient for Offa Dyke walkers but try to...

When we arrived there was no welcome whatsoever. In fact we were told that if we left the car where we did we would probably get our windscreen wipers ripped off! Not the best start having travelled from Bournemouth that day..Our room was tiny and furnished with very tired and unattractive furnishing and decor. But we slept well. When we...

Room was a bit small so good job it was just me staying in a twin, and bathroom is so narrow I had to get dried in the bedroom plus extractor fan didn't work in bathroom. The room is based on a side rd so be careful when you step out as it is virtually in the road. Good size...
