We only stayed one night at the Knighton Hotel en-route to North Wales but I have no hesitation in recommending this hotel. The premises look a tad grim from the outside but the interior is welcoming and friendly. The manager (owner?) is very hands-on and this shows in the efficiency in every department. Our room was large and very comfortable....

Lovely clean room overlooking village square with a great bathroom with plenty piping hot water. The dining room was bright and fresh in the mornings for a wide and varied breakfast menu - compliments to the chef and waiters. Ricky and his team deserve a pat on the back for the way we were treated and will certainly recommend this...

Had a lovely one night stay before starting second leg of Offa's Dyke. Rooms, hotel and bar very clean and comfortable. Good evening meal and great breakfast. The lady in charge of breakfast was on her own but very polite and well organised. Overall very pleased with everything

We usually go into the Knighton hotel, once every week for a coffee and piece of cake but the last two times we have been in the cakes have been disgusting! We had one piece of coffee and walnut which the icing was too buttery and we had scones that were not cooked! We took the scones back and they...

An excellent hotel. Our room was clean, quiet and comfortable. We even had a Jacuzzi bath, which was a lovely surprise. The bar was huge and very comfortable, with a spacious decking area outside if the weather is good. There's a coffee shop serving great coffee and cakes. The restaurant is lovely, light and airy and not at all cramped....

Thank you Ricky, and all the members of staff that helped last Saturday with our Breakfast at The Knighton Hotel. Greeted by bucks fizz was a lovely start to our day! The breakfast was beautiful and presented really well. The staff were extremely attentive, and dealt quickly with all our needs. From 12 satisfied customers, thank you once again :-)

My wife and I stayed here for 2 nights while walking the Offa's Dyke footpath. The staff were exceptionally good - friendly, attentive - nothing was too much trouble. We ate in the bar on the first night - the beer was excellent (real ales) and the food was very very good for a bar meal. The location is also...
