Detailed Reviews
Highly recommended, hosts Jackie and Tom made our stay very enjoyable. The en-suite room was high quality with all you needed including the comfortable bed with thick, soft quilt ensuring a good night's sleep, and the cooked breakfast (huge) was very tasty. Stunning views, great base for exploring the area, we were there for a wedding at Hurst House which was two minutes walk away so extremely convenient. Already planning a return visit to the area with friends and look forward to staying at Malt House again.

Could rave on forever about Malt House Farm and the brilliant hosts Tom and Jackie. Best breakfast ever. Our room was superb - fresh towels every day, crisp, fresh linen, so many thoughtful little extras like bottled water, cotton wool balls, shampoo & conditioner etc. so often missing at B & Bs and spotless. Tom and Jackie couldn't be more warm and welcoming and we are looking forward to our next visit. Tom and Jackie even asked if there was anything they were doing wrong or could improve - from my viewpoint you can't improve on this level of service. Thank you Tom and Jackie we had a brillliant break with you.
PS Laugharne is pretty special too.

Just stayed for four nights in the comfiest bed I have slept in! Don't be fooled by the lack of recent reviews- the visitor book shows it is very popular and often visited. The view is stunning, the farmhouse peaceful and Tom,Jackie and Smokey the cat all friendly. Stocks are replenished daily and creatively. The room is spotless. It has a heater which you can switch on and off as needed. Breakfast ( which is delicious and filling) is in a private TV lounge. The farm is off the main road between Laugharne and Pendine Sands down single track lanes, past Nine Acres and Hurst Hotel . The track near Hurst Hotel has many potholes which is the only reason why I didn't give it an excellent rating overall. For food for the rest of the day I would recommend the Cawl soup £4.95 ( pronounced cowl) at Dylans boathouse and the nut roast £8.95 at the Carpenters Arms and the rhubarb crumble at Parry's Pendine. These were the best meals I had out during my stay. The journey to Pendine takes 10 minutes door to door. (Wave to the badgers en route) Good base to explore the area. The route back from Cardigan via Cenarth is beautiful ( takes an hour) thanks to Jackie for that tip.

Top marks for quality of service provided. Excellent breakfast - more than we could eat! Pleasant friendly people (and farm dogs!) Totally spotlessly clean everywhere, clean towels every day, comfortable bed and superb standard of décor.
We chose a very cold and windy weekend and there is no central heating. We had a heater in our room which quickly brought the temperature up but we had to keep the door to the en suite open as there was no means of heating in there. Jackie kindly allowed me also to use the spearate bathroom as I don't like showers, but I only braved that once as it was so cold, the taps didn't work properly and I used up all the hot water so that my partner had a short shower.
The area is beautiful and very quiet. Be aware, from the sattelite view we thought we would only be a couple of minutes from the beach but as the MoD owns the corridor of land between the farm and the beach, you can only get to the beach at each end.
Don't let the above stop you from visiting. We had a relaxing 3 nights and enjoyed our stay.

We were directed to Malt House Farm by another B&B host in the area who was unable to accommodate us. We totally agree with all of the comments made about both Malt House Farm and the hosts, Jackie and Tom. It was a such a great place to stay - a genuine warm hospitality with more than you would expect from a B&B and at a very reasonable rate. We would love to return and would not hesitate to recommend it.

Great location with beautiful views. Fantastic service, a great breakfast, lovely owners and brilliant rooms with top quality furnishings. From the duvet cover to the toilet paper. It was all very noticeable. Bottled water and high quality beauty goods too.
I really can't recommend this b&b enough.

We wanted to enjoy the true Welch countryside and found it at the Malt House. Tom and Jackie were gracious hosts--especially as we brought five little ones who wanted to crawl all over the house and farm. Fun location--a small castle is just around the corner and great beaches just down the road. It just felt like Wales. We would gladly return.

The house and grounds were beautiful! The breakfast was great and the service was perfect. The postcard views and modern luxuries make traveling easy. They even gave us a lovely cot for our son so he could have his own bed. The large room with private bathroom was just perfect. Very personable. I would love to visit again and spend much more time here.

Tom and Jackie run this wonderful B&B, just outside Laugharne.
It's a working organic farm, which means you travel down a well made track for about 1/4 mile, but you be won't disappointed on arrival. The bedrooms are spotless, the beds really comfortable and the breakfast well worth waking up for.
Nothing is too much trouble for your genial hosts, and you won't want to leave.
Smokey their grey cat will come and give you attention if you're a cat lover, if you're not, don't worry, they'll keep him in the kitchen.
