Visited the Skirrid inn with a group of friends for an evening meal, We were greeted by very friendly bar staff and even got chance to have a look around the wonderful bedrooms (Even though we were not staying). Our food was really nice and plentiful and the service was excellent! Well worth a visit if you`re in the area.

Me and my partner visited this place on the weekend, it was busy but was nothing that the staff could not handle, very welcoming and could not do enough to explain about the pub (talk about spooky and interesting)!! Food was fantastic, spoke to a couple across from us who completely agreed, would definitely go back for more!! well worth...

I don't normally write reviews but I found this experience so awful (again) that I felt I should write something. On this site I have just read other reviews which mention excellent food and pub grub at the Skirrid Inn (from 2015). Did we visit this pub in a parallel universe? We ordered a simple veggie burger and a baguette...

A warm and friendly welcome upon arriving at the Skirrid Inn , staff can't do enough for you . The Inn has an old world charm , with a roaring fire in the bar area to snuggle up to on cold winter evenings . The bedrooms are spacious and very clean , with four poster beds that are so comfortable...

We all had different meals the liver and veg was very nice with plenty of veg being served on separate dish. The beefburger was also very good as was the plaice. The prices were very reasonable the staff very...

And if the title wasn't enough, they also serve some of the best grub you'll come across in Wales!! A fabulous Inn with bags of history, you just have to sit and watch for a few hours in the day and see how many people visit and leave smiling! I think the back stairs are great with the noose from...

Called here by chance for a quick lunch and it proved to be a very wise choice. The lady behind the bar could not have been more helpful ; we both had jacket potatoes and the service was excellent. Extensive menu - will most definitely return to try a steak or a burger or even just the soup and crusty...

Stopped in for early dinner mid-week. Didn't stay in the hotel so cannot comment. Bar staff were very friendly and welcoming, beer was good, garden nice and dog friendly. Food was ok, what you'd expect for pub food - but would be improved by more use of oven and less of microwave. Veg was zapped to death, but the rest...

Great for a weekend away, ghost hunt or a bite to eat. A must visit. Love the Skirrid. Lovely food, comfy rooms with huge beds and such an incredible location. Loved the spooky stories and the atmosphere. All the rooms are lovely but the one with the bathroom set down the stairs is creepiest. Would go again and will.

Lovely setting and steeped in character. Only had a drink here and sat outside due to the glorious weather. Bar area is fab with a huge fireplace. Will have to return to rate food which appeared to be very reasonably priced
