We enjoyed our 2 night stay in Arthur Guest House, which has a lovely position on the sea front. The sound of the sea was a restful backdrop to a good night's sleep. There was a good choice at breakfast and the communal area downstairs is well laid out with a range of local information, including maps and walks. The...

Recently spent a weekend at the Arthur Guest House in Tywyn with my wife and 3 teenage children. We had the sea view double and the family room. The rooms were very clean, well equipped and spacious. The breakfasts were excellent - plenty of choice and all freshly prepared. The hosts, Jack and Maggie, were very helpful and friendly. I...

We stayed in room three with wonderful views over the sea, the spacious room was bright and clean with a very comfortable bed with excellent en-suite facilities. The ambience was very inviting, the breakfast was top class and Maggie could not have done more for us. Everything was better than some so-called top class hotels we have stayed in. We...

Having reached the stage where we could not reach the narrow gauge railway and get back home in one day, we needed to find a place to stay over night in Tywyn. This guest house not only came to our rescue, it gave us an equal focus for our visits to the town. This is an outstanding place to stay...

This is a superb guest house. We were in room 3 with the sea view bay window. Such a peaceful room, we slept so well during our stay. The room is spacious and simply and tastefully decorated and has a great shower. Maggie's breakfasts were delicious and of epic proportions, perfect for days walking and exploring the welsh landscape. Jack...

I stayed just the one night here whilst touring north wales on my own. It was very welcoming, clean and tidy, with comfortable rooms, and great sea views. It was no more then 5 mins walk from the station. Breakfast was plentiful and very pleasant. I would defiantly visit again.

My wife has asked me to write this review on her behalf. Anne and 4 friends have just spent a pottery weekend at "Jills Pottery" at Mofa Camp in Tywyn. The Arthur guest house was recommended by Kathy Iffla one of the potters and the organiser of the weekend. When I first e-mailed Maggie for availability, the reply was instant,...

Clean and tidy, welcoming, great breakfast, close to the sea, can recommend and will stay again, car parking is easy, although stayed in a room at the back this time, had nice mountain views towards Cader Idris.

The accommodation at The Arthur Guest House was very good. Tastefully decorated and clean rooms. There was a good choice for breakfast served in the dining room. There is also a guest lounge overlooking the sea front. Jack and Maggie, the owners, were very helpful and welcoming. Would I return? Yes, without a doubt!

It's not often that you find a place offering an en-suite single room with a balcony and a direct sea view. Not often, either, that this is accompanied by an excellent breakfast and at a rate that doesn't take advantage of the single traveller. The "Arthur" guesthouse is clean and welcoming, an easy and level walk from the railway station...
